I came across few of them and I am puzzled since the chalit lagna is very different. Guest guest Posted August 24, 2000 Report Share Posted August 24, 2000 this should not influence the lagna sphuta (unless one uses a different ayanamsha -- these cuspal lagnas are great for resolving the ayanamsha controversy for sure). As far as the bhava span is concerned, one sign would predominate in most charts and so that should reduce the uncertainty. Usually this is the sign in which the lagna sphuta (rising degree) falls. I have yet to see a convincing and uncontroversial case of bhava (by the approximating averaging systems in vogue or even the so called mathematically precise systems) over using whole sign in jyotish. Guest guest Posted August 25, 2000 Report Share Posted August 25, 2000 No worries, whether the ascendant is 29 deg. 59 minutes or 0 degs. and some minutes. No difference comes to the Lagna except that Lagna is said to become weak when it is near the junction points. Such horoscopes need careful examination as slight change in birth time can change the lagna. Therefore such horoscopes deserve careful attention. I had done a chart when lagna was 0 deg. 58 minutes only. Ascendant was Aquarius. This gave correct results. Regarding the chalit chart, I dont lay much emphasis on the chalit chart as we have much divisional charts to take care of analysis.
