Dear friend

The simple fact exchange of houses of Saturn

and Venus in Navamsa indicates the following things

(i) The person or his spouse is very much

artistically inclined if venus is strong in navamsa or

Saturn in in Libra

(ii)The persons married life may have many ups

and downs if these planets/ 7th house lord etc./ also

weak and afflicted.

It is better to take a holistic view of all

the factors.

Dear Christopher

I'm enjoying our chat about this chart. Your ideas and style are

similar to the very man who sent me to this group, Richard Houck, who

was sick of me emailing him to waffle on about some point of

interpretation.

Firstly the bit about Saturn with second lord Sun showing abandonment

by the Mother. This sounds simplistic until you see the Moon is in

the nakshatra of Venus and of course Venus is 4th lord in the 12th

with Mars in the nakshatra of Rahu. Mars and Mercury are in

parivartana which is extremely important as 10th lord of career goes

into the 12th of foreign countries and the 12th lord goes into the

10th. Mercury is the depositor of Mars and Venus and also the lord of

the 3rd of mental outlook and desires. I hope this clarifies that

point. Saturn is in tight square to Moon, natural enemies in kendra

to each other have strong aspect. Seventh lord is enemy and in hard

aspect to lagna lord. I stand by my statement of a few weeks ago that

Cancerian women in particular do better with older partners.

As to my chart, Mars in the lagna is a very harsh position especially

for a man. All the old book traits are correct for me. I was a heavy

drinker, I swear a lot, I have a bad temper, I am hostile to my

Mother, I have been in fights, have scars all over my face, have had

guns pulled on me, have been hit with an iron bar across the head,

had my left eye almost gouged out in a fight (Saturn, Ketu in the

12th), run over by a motorbike and hit by a car, arrested many times

and locked up by the police. I haven't even had my Mars dasha yet!!

My best mate was also born in Kumbha with Mars in the lagna and he's

the same!! He was stabbed a few years ago and locked up in Thailand a

few weeks ago for bashing an English soccer hooligan senseless. We

did karate together for years and are both very good at the old

fisticuffs. My Mars and Mercury gives me tremendous hand speed and co-

ordination. We both are of Irish decent and have the old Irish

temper. My mates Mars also aspects his Moon and Mercury as Mercury is

in his 4th house and Moon in the 8th house. (Yes, his Mother died

early.) Mars in the lagna attracts violence and accidents. I never

look for trouble it just seems to find me.

Jupiter in the lagna makes me benevolent and friendly and bloody

lucky. I've crawled out of some nasty situations. Getting back to

more serious issues I would like your thoughts on the chart we have

been studying in relationship to me. Our nodes are in exchange and

her lagna lord falls in my 7th house and my lagna lord falls in her

7th house, Moons share the same rashi and are in vasiya signs in the

navamsha. More importantly her yoni is the female rat and I am the

male Rat. My old Pundit says as the Rat has no friends, if a male rat

comes in contact with a girl who's Moon falls in the yoni of the

female rat, he will never ever forget that women. This unfortunately

is true and I always think about her. This yoni kuta and vasiya kuta

is very strong and I have verified it in other charts. I've also

found women who are born in a rakshasa nakshatra (Moon) can be a bit

fiesty too. I'm naturally enough born in one myself. My old Pundit

says you should reject a marriage if the yonis are enemy animals as

this shows no sexual compatibilty. I am yet to find this incorrect in

one case.

My Thai nephew called from Thailand only one hour ago to say he was

marrying a Japanese girl this week. A quick look at their charts show

his Moon yoni is male buffalo and hers is female buffalo. As her Moon

and Jupiter falls in his lagna and a few other good aspects I feel

they are a good pair. However, no matter the good aspects his chart

has Saturn in the 7th in mutual aspect to Mars in the 4th house, 7th

lord is in the 12th house. (Virgo lagna). These powerful aspects in

his chart would have me reccommending they don't get legally married

but just stay together. Time will tell if I'm right or wrong. Many

people call me and email me about their charts, I would say 80-90%

are about marriage or relationships so I am going to post a few of my

ideas about marriage, sex and matching charts in the next few days to

hear what others think. It is good to discuss these things without

egos or money getting in the way.

She actually works for me part time so I'll ask her tonight for

It's analagous to secondary progression only using lunar months as a base

instead of years. So if secondary progressions have each day of life equal

to one year, tertiary progressions(P3) have each day equal to a lunar

month, about 27.3 days. So a 27 year-old has his P3 angles move back to

their natal positions. The more important thing is to find the right

software to calculate them. They cannot be done by hand (at least by mere

mortals that we are.) Solarfire does them well, as does Winstar. GJ might

in later versions but I doubt it. I don't think any vedic programme does

them. I own Shri jyoti Star which does tertiaries but they are calculated

differently from Houck's as they use the naibod position of Sun rather than

solar arc as basis of the angular progression. And that is the key to

tertiaries, the rate of angular progression. Even though I'm a Houck

sishya, so to speak, I'm not absolutely devoted to the tertiarties. One

problem with them is that they are dependent on location. If the native

moves from the birthplace, one must then have two sets of tertiaries to

juggle as the angles change. Both may be applicable in reading events.

So Venus periods have been violent? Ava yogi point is used for wealth

Yeah, I have a copy, but no scanner. Lots of goodies in it. When he refers

to the girl's "birth star", does he mean ascendant nakshatra or Moon

nakshatra? I have seen both used as the general indicator of personality, etc.

Skinbags/Chris,

Hopefully not coming across as prying into your personal matters but was

this something that could have been astrologically (foreknown) foretold in

your case?

Thanks
