differences between two similar charts- without yogas

I'll try to get this up quickly if I can as I may be away for a couple of days.

The two charts both have Leo rising with ASC Lord's dispositor (Mars) in 12th

hse.

As the life story's are very different, I can see why it might send one

scurrying for yogas in search of an explanation...but no real need just yet as

the differences can be seen from the horoscopes alone.

First the question of drugs:

In relation to drug taking the two houses to consider are the 2nd & 12th...the

2nd, as I'm sure you know, shows one's tendency (or lack thereof) to partake of

wrong food or drink; and the 12th hse of loss, including loss of, or beyond, the

boundaries of consciousness...(sadly it would seem that the drug addict and the

saint are both in search of the same thing).

In the chart of the male drug taker, 2nd lord ME is in the company of 12th lord

MO. Both ME & MO are inimically placed and ME is in retrograde motion. Also the

presence of RA in 2nd is a very negative (compulsive) influence on this house.

This situation is not evident in your friend's chart.

On the issue of confinement:

In male chart SA (natural significator) of 12th is in retrograde motion in ASC

which adds weight to the possibility of confinement.

Although both have 9th lord MA in 12th, your friend has the blessing of 9th lord

significator JU aspecting the ASC from house of friend.

On the issue of experiencing unbounded awareness by way of spiritual practices

rather than drug taking note (in your friend's chart) MO in hse of friend in

5th, and not forgetting 12th hse significator SA in company of KE.
