Thank-you!!!!!Laksmi >> The swearing in of the president is set by law at noon on January 20th. Clinton was actually inaugurated at 12:06:07 pm EST on 20 Jan 1997 in Washington, DC. This was, of course, his second inauguration. The first one would have been at noon on 20 Jan 1993 in Washington...I don't have the exact time, just the approximate one. The next president should then be inaugurated at about noon on 20 Jan 2001 in Washington, DC. I don't know when the law changed to require January 20th. Our first president, George Washington, was inaugurated at 1:45 pm EST on the 30th of April 1789, in the Manhattan borough of New York City. (The City of Washington didn't become the capital until 1800; Philadelphia was the capital in 1789.) Some say that this inauguration chart rules all presidents...
