Dear all,

Please if somebody would be so kind to clarify the following:

I use Goravani Jyotish Software and there I have found a table with Nakshatras

and I am a bit confused about Gunas for each Nakshatra; for example for Aswini

it says the Guna is Tamas, Bharani is Rajas, Krttika is Rajas, etc. and another

source says that the Guna for Aswini is Satwa, Bharani is also Rajas but Krttika

is Tamas, etc. The systems are different and I don't know which one is correct.

I have looked into BPHS but I couldn't find anything.

Thanks.

Ignac

Hello Skinbags:

Thanks for the continuing info on this subject.

how to use the nakshatras or don't realize just how important they are in

interpreting a chart. One example I will explain for beginners is when the

Moon falls in a nakshatra of Mars. That is Mrigashira, Chitra or Dhanishta.

When this situation is present Saturn becomes the 4th dasha lord that kicks

in in the mid 30's to early forties depending on the time of birth.

I don't follow this. What does it mean: "Saturn the 4th dasha lord" and

what is the method of timing being used here?

Depending on the rest of the chart this can be a destructive dasha

inflicting death and misery.

Jnr. He died in the Saturn dasha and she died at the very end of Jupiter

dasha not even making the Saturn dasha unless her birth time used is

slightly incorrect. I know of a number of other charts where this Saturn

period has killed the person. These examples may be a bit drastic but are

given to show the importance of using the nakshatras to see the inner

workings or karmic effects of a planet. I recently looked at a mans chart

who's life had self destructed, he got divorced and lost his house and

business, he was in a serious car accident and has severe neck and spinal

problems. He has generally lost the plot and was taking drugs to ease his

physical and mental problems.

>He was born in Sagittarius with lagna lord Jupiter in the 8th house. Mars

is in the lagna with Rahu afflicting lagna lord by 8th house aspect and

Saturn is in the 11th house also afflicting lagna lord by its worst aspect.

Saturn is aspecting Mars in the lagna itself. To top things off, Moon is

in the second house in Dhanishta, a nakshatra of Mars. This guy is an

Indian and his name is Chandra which is of course the name of the Moon. The

Moon is the depositor of the lagna lord Jupiter who is exalted in Cancer.

Exalted planets when badly placed can bring exalted misery.

the 12th house with Rahu. She died in a foreign country in an accident with

a Muslim man. She was rumoured to be also having a secret affair with a

Pakistani Doctor who was also a Muslim. Rahu is karaka for all non hindus

and foreigners. Her Moon is in the same house as Saturn and when she died

Saturn was in her 7th house in the 8th house from natal Mars. Never ever

underestimate the destruction this aspect can cause when Saturn is

receiving and 8th house aspect from Mars or are in mutual aspect. Princess

Caroline, John Lennon, J.F.K, Hitler and many others who died violently

have this aspect, but thats another posting..............

Of course!

:) Post your chart again. It depends on the nature of Rahu and the position

of its depositor in your chart. Rahu in trine to Sun or transit natal Sun

can be very good . Nothing works in isolation. Your Jupiter is in Kumbha

like mine.

Probably enough questions for now. Thanks for bringing the subject to light.

yes, we are both born in '62.

my DOB is 12-18-62. born at 7.42 am EST in detroit, michigan. USA

while it is always interesting to hear of my own chart, i was wondering

about generalities as well. are there general "rules of thumb" or is

everything individualized ?

i guess i wonder about importances...which to look for in which order , ie:

dispositor, nakshatra lord, house lord, etc.

ps. good to hear of the outer planets being integrated in transits. do you

use them as house rulers as well?

take care
