Guest guest
hello manu and all list members, sure we must know the implications of reciting the gayatri mantra at any given time.i have recently got myself a beautiful CD of the gayaytri mantra.according to that, the narrator, tells us that this mantra should be recited at the major time changes like ,night to morning---morning to noon----evening to night. but i cannot keep track of these times and hence, recite it when i am doing my laundry or maybe just cooking or in simple words, just anytime i feel like it. never been the type to sit down and perform pooja. also at times i play the cd, while reading mail or doing my surfing on the net(related to astrology ofcourse) so please someone give us a proper advice on this very special recitation. i am reminded of the time, when i was in labour, the lady assisting me, before the doc arrived, kept reminding me not to take the name of god in vain. it happens so naturally, to say hey ram or just OH GOD!! till this day i do not know why she stopped me from doing so. was it the place?or was it unclean?(spiritually) as i type this out, something more important comes to my mind.this, all women must know. is it right or wrong to recite mantras, when the woman is going thru her monthly periods?also should she refrain from reading books on astrology? what about reading of charts? one thing that i am aware of is that, during those times, the aura(the energy surrounding one's physical body shows LOW a depletion)which does not help spiritually.infact that is the main reason for us ladies to stay away from visiting temples and places of worship.biologically it is natural and not unclean, but spirituallly it does affect the aura. i would like all my friends to read 2 books 1.YOUR BODY DOESN'T LIE by JOHN DIAMOND,M.D. 2.STAR SIGNS BY LINDA GOODMAN these books make good reading. so getting back to the topic of recitations and reading of mantras...at the right times!! please do let us know..specially us ladies. thank you rhoda Kick off your party with Invites. http://invites./
