Guest guest
Dear Das Prabhu Dandavats. Regarding Astrological Research, it is a big enterprise and a nice team is needed. At university level every career has a sound structure of subject matters to learn. In architecture, we learn about design, descriptive geometry, maths, history of art etc. In Philosophy, they give history of philosophy, logic etc. In medicine, they learn about anatomy, diseases, bodily functions etc. In Vedic Astrology we are supposed to learn about those branches of knowledge which are related to astrology. We have architecture and arts (shilpa shastra), medical science (ayurveda), military science (dhanurveda), music (gandharva veda), agriculture, meteorology etc. In the future, i can see vedic astrologers becoming experts in one or more of those branches of human knowledge. I have seen already some devotees coming back from India with hundreds of books which appeal to their interest, qualities and research. Regarding medical astrology, there is the need of at least one doctor on the team. I have the feeling that it will be ideal to gather if possible the medical notes about the appearance of symptoms (dates will be useful to study the transits and periods of planets), the prescriptions, the reactions, etc. I suggest to go as far as antaras for practical results but in cases of knowing the proper birth time, research could be extended to sukmas and pranas and sodhasas. We have the theory (yogas etc), lets have the research. Your mathematical mind can think in the programming for the research and evaluation of data and Sanjay can give directions with his expertise. Other astrologers can contribuite with their personal collection of charts and their views. About 3 months ago, i met a Biology student at the University of Newcastle, here in England and i ask him for his opinion about the DNA business, which scientists are too excited about it. He said to me, yes we are going to have all that valuable information but the next questions is, what to do with it? what we are going to use it for? We do not know much about it. Lord Danvantari came to give to humanity the secrets of ayurveda, which eventually extended to other parts of the earth under different circumstances according to language & culture. The essence of medicine is to alleviate or bring down the reaction of our karmas and compassion or love and affection for other souls is a must, therefore the great responsability of doing a research in vedic sciences, which are there for the benefit of humanity. Srila Prabhupada started the Bhaktivedanta Institute to research in vedic sciences and their team has been doing extremely well in attracting the scientific community to their findings. Among other researchers like Graham Hancock, Robert Bauval and others, we have new findings that there is the probe that a super civilization existed with the entry of the ayanamsa in the sidereal sign of Leo, some 12 500 years ago. This new findings can be explained by reading Srimad Bhagavatam, from were we read that previous to this age of Kali yuga (which started on 18 February 3102 BC), we had a more advanced civilization. The cultural remains of that civilization can be seen in many of the cultures of this present Kali yuga, like the Incas, Mayas, Aztecs, Hopi, Cahokia, Romans, Greeks, Egyptians, Babilonians, Sumerians, Hindus etc. Recently, the British TV has being showing some programes showing that the Incas had the practical knowledge of both the tropical and the sidereal sky, because they knew about the precession of the equinoxes. The problem with this TV programes and books is that those scholars (archeologists, anthopologists etc) do not have vedic astrologers among their advisers, and therefore, they are missing important clues. I am preparing for this list some interesting articles about those TV programes, for you to see what is coming in the next revolution of human tought. New findings impossible to deny are shattering the archaic beliefs in archeology, anthopology, history etc I have to apologize to the members of this list for my broken English, and i hope that i am giving a proper understanding of my views. Please let me know if i have being too rough in my approach. Also, i have to say that i have a lot of Mexican conditionings (very difficult to break) and one of them is to say "i will do it Mañana, (tomorrow)" and the tomorrow becomes tomorrow due to other commitments. Dandavats again Prabhu, Yours in the service of vedic sciences, which were giving to us by the Lord. Natabara Das
