V. Raman's daughter, where she discussed the role of BOTH rahu and kethu with addictions. She pointed out that rahu and kethu are indicators of obsessive/compulsive behavior. When linked with lagna, the Moon or the Sun, then the native will suffer some addiction. My experience is that rahu and kethu are, indeed, karakas of addictive behavior; however, not necessarily drug or alcohol addictions. For example, I have Saturn and Rahu in Aries lagna with Mars in 10th-house Capricorn. I am a work-aholic! I easily work excessive hours. Also, my 7th-house hosts kethu, Venus, Mercury, and Sun...ruler of 5th in 7th, when I fall in love, I become totally committed to the lady (as tho married to her), and I become 'addicted' to the relationship. Saturn makes one a hard worker and in your case it (and rahu) glances mars in 10th and you just never can have enough of it. All poisons are basically controlled by this son of Saturn and he has just one purpose..to give poisonous substances. Other combinations are given in the Jaimini Sutra for preparing poisonous substances and also for administering them besides their consumption. these are related to Rahu & Sun combination or "AGNI DOSHA".
