Guest guest
If at all possible, I would wait. If not, then that's different. Non-interference is more auspicious overall, in general. Sri Caitanya was a 13 month pregnancy (historical fact) There is more peace in serving, letting go, ultimately. Birthtime is not to be messed with, if at all possible. But if life is threatened, and doctors do know alot and have to be listened to also, so then that is different. If without too much trouble or over-endevour, if the child can be allowed to come out in it's natural pace, that will be better for long term for child and you both- as that's how relationships should work- each person at their own pace and the others able to understand and give- and the start of all things are important in setting the stage. Guest guest
If astrology is based on premises that are ruled by some cosmic and divine law, then the doctor will be led by the Intelligence that governs our lives to that moment which will truly represent the karma of the child to come. Otherwise, it is all kind of meaningless, isn't it? Karma cannot be changed by birthmoment, but the birth moment must reflect the individual's karma or karmic destiny. >Gautam Sarkar <gsarkar >gjlist >vedic astrology , gjlist >[gjlist] Baby's time of birth >Mon, 24 Jul 2000 10:39:51 -0700 > >OM GAM >Dear Jyotishis, >I have a personal question that I am seeking an answer. Karma cannot be changed by birthmoment, but the birth moment must reflect the individual's karma or karmic destiny. --------------- However, we still have to make decisions, for example, whether to wait sometimes or not, whether to allow C-Section or not, whether to take the birth control pill or not, and so many questions on and on. To say that we "leave it all to fate" is ignoring half of reality. In picking times for beginning important works, we are showing our natures, our wishes, and so on, which will never go away. This is the message of the Gita. Arjuna had to decide, though Krishna said that he had already decided everything. That is the nature of reality. It is neither wholly one or separate- it is both- there is oneness, and individuality, both, eternally. What you say Manas is true, but half the truth. In choosing, people can use rules and things they've learned from scripture and other authorities. Some inclinations are more conducive to auspiciousness and others are less. For example, choosing vegetarianism is better than choosing to eat meat. Choosing to keep a human baby is more auspicious than abortion. So we have to try, but we cannot always do things correctly, and we make compromises. In the end, the Divine Will is there in all things that actually happen. However, we still have to try for certain ends, that's our part of the deal.
