experts on this matter, not to astrologers, we should go with a humble

attitude to enquire from bona fide gurus about this paradox. The guru will

give us our homework and in time we will be able to neutralise our karma.

The CRUX of life, is exploitation verse dedication.

 

In all things, you will find this is the essence of progress, and this

includes Spiritual Life. Spiritual Life means to develop those habits,

qualities, thoughts, relationships, and so on, which are conducive to

living, rather than dieing. The body dies, hence it is not considered

"Spiritual" per se, though everything is ultimately Spiritual.

 

In order to make progress, we "define" things and thus separate higher

from lower with the knife of knowledge. So we say "this is spiritual"

and "this is not". In fact, everything is Spiritual, everything is in

and of God or Divinity, but to make changes, to make progress, we have

to move from one ground to another, or practice "elimination" and "new

acceptance".

 

So serving is how to act out our life now, fulfill our karma, yet not

create new karma. Attachment is the root of rebirth. We have to live

somewhere, so we will be reborn somewhere, but we want it to be "higher"

and have "less trouble".

 

Trouble is caused when there is conflicting selfish interests. Actually,

the wise can see that all the trouble in their life comes from within

their own stuff. Everything coming at you, is a reflection of inner

problems you have in your own inner dichotomies or inner conflicts.

 

There are various lokas or realms to be born within. Here, for example,

we have what are called "Jews" and "Palestinians" and they fight. This

is a manifestation of a principle that is acting out here in this world,

which lives in some people. If you don't want to be in a war zone, you

have to practice removing both aspects of that issue from within yourself.

 

So that's how material life works. It is through desire that attachment

grows then problems come from those with conflicting desires. So to not

go to war with enemies, we have to not desire the same things as them,

or the opposite things as them- the conflicts all arise from conflicting

selfish interests.

 

Spiritual Life therefore means to find the sameness as well as the

difference- to find unity in diversity, to see everything as self, even

when it is obviously also separate from ourselves. There are specific

stages of advancement in this process of awareness, it is not vague

actually.

 

Chanting Hare Krishna helps very much. Repeating the mantra on beads

regularly will help the mind and heart to feel the call of spirit, and

it cleanses, give rewards, makes the aspirant feel loved, protected, and

so on. It is praised in Sastra, and it works as stated there. I highly

recommend this process for anyone- no joining, payment, allegiance, or

anything, is required. You just chant it attentively as much as

possible. There are whole books written just about this mantra and it's

use.

 

The two wheels of the cart of life are predetermism and self will, or

said another way, Gods condonement or contribution, and our own apparent

efforts. It doesn't matter to argue whether our efforts or will are also

predetermined. That is pointless. We must go through life, and we seem

to have choices and the ability to will, and it does seem that those who

try harder to use their endowments do better, or are happier, etc., so

the call to try is clearly there.

 

So, the two wheels of the cart work together- the more one is endowed,

the more one has to manage resources in a positive way. The more success

I've had in work, the more work I get. My life is not now easier, it's

actually much busier and more engaged than ever. The more we can

positively manage, the more we are given.

 

This works internally as well. Some people have more ability to see God.

Others have less ability to see at all. No two people are ever really

identical. So, according to our own capacity, we should try to serve our

own souls ultimate interests, as well as all others. This means in plain

English "Really try for Spiritual Life". Try to do your processes that

work for you. Do them. Do them. Whether it's chant and read and talk

like me, or meditation as others do, or whatever it is. If you can go to

some ashram that is good for you, then do that, and leave when that's

the right thing to do. Cry at the right times, laugh too.

 

Life is Spiritual Life, especially when we are able to deliberately make

it so. All life is Spiritual Life and everything is constantly making

Spiritual Progress, true, but when the entity becomes aware of this, the

more that increases, then the more interesting, sweet, awesome and

blissful it becomes. So consciously pursue your hearts fulfillment in

the Divine Way, and all Heaven breaks loose in your life.
