Guest guest
Hi Lalia You wrote "I don't notate where I get the charts. I do to Lois Rodden's Data News, and that may be the source, but I don't guarantee it. Sorry!" In my personal experience Lois Rodden's Data is the best and i have the feeling that your information comes from her, therefore, good to digest. I am cautious of data because of my past experience. Many years ago (1979) i came accross with a book that gives about 1000 charts. I took the time to convert them (with a pocket calculator) into vedic and even draw the North Indian style graphics for the rasi and navamsa. I wanted to see the charts to learn the "feeling" of vedic astrology. Months later, i found that the author of the book had gathered the dates of birth without checking the source and gave it to his students to calculate with the help of a pocket calculator. Some of his students made errors in the calculations and therefore the data was about 80% bad. I wasted my time in following the wrong data. Lois Rodden is very consistent in her approach to dates of birth. I have her Astro Data II and Profiles of Women, but i do not have the financial resources to puchase her other collection. From those 2 books i have converted some 600 charts for my research work. The more precise the information, the better results we will have in our studies. I would like vedic astrologers to translate the Gauquelin's 100 000+ horoscopes into Lahiri's ayanamsa. If the Gauquelins proved some validity in tropical astrology i am sure that vedic astrology will go even deeper. We can study how some yogas work and why some others do not seem to work. We need to gather as much information as possible and check them out with biographies. (I love biographies that give dates). When researching, i come accross with a lot of books that do not give full dates for important events in the lifes of important personalities. For tropicalists this may not be important but with the vedic sky, the full date and even the time can be applied to the dasas, buktis antaras, sukmas and even pranas. Can you imagine saying "I am in the Sani dasa, Mercury bukti and Ketu antara, (for practical studies i only go as far as antaras) let me consult the vedic data bank and see which personalities achieved something interesting in a similar equation". That is going to happen one day. With my limited resources i have already found some very interesting patterns which in time i will publish in my books or magazine. I have another question, you mention that you have for Pope John Paul II another time, could you please give it to me. I am interested in looking at the chart of the present leader of millions of Catholics. He is likely to have very powerful sanyassa yogas. Many thanks Lalia Best wishes Natabara das
