Guest guest
im new to the list. im just beginning to study vedic ast. after 35 yrs. of practicing western style. i became disenchanted with it, and in the short time i have studied vedic astrology, ive found it rings true. i will be able to offer much to the group, as all those years have taught me much, and i am very intuitive in my chart interpretations, that is a God gift. i recieved my vedic natal chart from Das yesterday. i was suprised at the accuracy and depth of it. can some one please tell me why there is no uranus or neptune in the vedic chart? well, ill sign off for now. i am hoping for plenty of opportunity to be of service to you. respectfully yours, karen townsend 1st house sun gemini asc. gemini jupiter gemini mercury gemini south node gemini uranus gemini 2nd house empty 3rd house venus leo 4th house empty 5th house saturn libra 6th house moon scorpio 7th house mars sagittarius north node sagittarius 8th house empty 9th house empty 10th house empty 11th house empty 12th house empty
Guest guest
Hi Karen, Glad you found and like Vedic. There are many opinions as to why the 3 far-outers are not used in Vedic. One thing to consider, is that Vedic sciences, knowledge, religion, etc., are all passed down through disciplic successions wherein the chief rule is transparent re-tranmission through the generations. This is a key point of Vedic discipleship. So, no matter what is said regarding this discussion, consider that those who have a serious and sincere Vedic connection personally, and understands these things through proper initiation into Vedic understanding and thinking, will be very shy about getting into added things, and won't care that much anyway, as the Vedic path is satisfying as it is. It doesn't need the outers to work for us. It already has what we're supposed to know. Secondly, consider also that Vedic everything is Theistic, or in other words, there is Divinity. And, Divinity is all knowing, and the Sages and Gurus of the Sages that gave these things, and preserved them through the ages in way past times, knew about all the planets, and even other realms completely invisible to us now and here. After all, Divinity created the planets, then told us how it all works. So it's not that we discovered these planets and they didn't know about them. They knew always, we found them later. So now with that said, there are very good reasons for their omission from this revealed science, but we may not know them. I suspect it has to do with the outers unimportance in traditional Vedic life, or, the planets are not "good" for humans to look at, or the Gods of those planets are not Demigods, and therefore ignored by those who are adherent to Brhaspati and Brahma etc. (two important high Demigods). There are certainly divine reasons. Sorry, always gotta speak out in the way I think the past protectors of Vedic Wisdom who sacrificed so much for us, would want me to, With love Das Goravani 2852 Willamette St # 353 Eugene OR USA 97405 or Fax: 541-343-0344 "Goravani Jyotish" Vedic/Hindu Astrology Software
Guest guest
Dearest Das, thank you for explaining about the outer planets. i have much to learn, and it seems well worth the effort. there is important work to be done, especially on my karma. i pray to God to help me understand all this on a spiritual level, as answers come intuitively when i do that. with much respect and admiration,. karen townsend Das wrote: > Hi Karen, > > Glad you found and like Vedic. > > There are many opinions as to why the 3 far-outers are not used in > Vedic. > > One thing to consider, is that Vedic sciences, knowledge, religion, > etc., are all passed down through disciplic successions wherein the > chief rule is transparent re-tranmission through the generations.
