Guest guest
Hi everyone Someone has sent me this information. My questions are to its validity and how does one adapt the times to local time zone [or should they not be changed?] Any expert opinions? ======================== Rahu Kalam, Gulikai, and yama gandam,- each is a time period of 90 minutes duration each day and people who know their importance and effects always follow them strictly. I am giving below the relevant time periods : MON : 07.30 to 09.00 (Rahu Kalam); MON : 10. 30 to 12.00 (Yama Gandam); MON : 13.30 to 15.00 (Gulikai) TUE : 15.00 to 16.30 ( RK) TUE : 09.00 to 10.30 ( YG) TUE : 12.00 to 13.30 ( G ) WED : 12.00 to 13.30 ( RK) WED : 07.30 to 09.00 ( YG) WED : 10.30 to 12.00 ( G ) THU : 13.30 to 15.00 ( RK) THU : 06.00 to 07.30 ( YG) THU : 09.00 to 10.30 ( G ) FRI : 10.30 to 12.00 ( RK) FRI : 15.00 to 16.30 ( YG) FRI : 07.30 to 09.00 ( G ) SAT : 09.00 to 10.30 ( RK) SAT : 13.30 to 15.00 (YG) SAT : 06.00 to 07.30 (G ) SUN : 16.30 to18.00 (RK) SUN : 12.00 to 13.30 (YG) SUN : 15.00 to 16.30 ( G ) Rahu Kalam and yama Gandam are always considered inauspicious while Gulikai though not inauspicious, is not again treated specially auspicous as there are times of auspiciousness for each day of a year and it is generally avoided for removing human bodies after departure of the soul , for cremation/burial. A final question: Is this material really Jyothis? kind regards ---- Chris Parnell InfiniSource, Inc. <chris
Guest guest
These read like a variation on the planetary hours theme , in which case I would expect them to originally have started solely at dawn or dusk or else to have been instead divided between the periods of day and night ( unless the latter be a specifically New World working , which I believe it isn't ) . At a guess it is related to the Indian system which uses the time of local sunrise in order to determine the Ascendant .
