Best Wishes SR P>S> Does anybody have his birth chart ----------------------------- Fodder Scam: Former Bihar CM Jagannath Mishra sent to jail 07th June 2000 14.43 IST The CBI designated court today remanded former Bihar chief minister Jagannath Mishra to 14 days' judicial custody in connection with one of the conspiracy angle cases of the multi-crore rupee fodder scam. CBI special judge S.K.Lal, rejecting the regular bail petition of Dr Mishra, sent him to the Beur central jail. On the request of the counsel of Dr Mishra, the judge also directed for his full medical check up at the indoor Gandhi cardiology centre in Patna medical college hospital within two days and a report about his health. The counsel informed the court that his client had undergone an open-heart surgery in Delhi recently. Dr Mishra had surrendered in the CBI court and filed a petition for getting regular bail during the day. The court had earlier issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Dr Mishra and 51 other accused after taking cognizance of the chargesheet filed by the CBI on may eleven this year in connection with the case. The CBI had sought permission from the then governor Suraj Bhan on October eight last for prosecuting Dr Mishra and the others in the case related with fraudulent withdrawal of Rs three crore from Dumka treasury during 1995-96. Meanwhile, former Bihar chief minister Laloo Prasad Yadav, former minister Chandra Deo Prasad Verma, Rashtriya Janata Dal legislator R.K.Rana, MLA Jagdish Sharma and others appeared in the court in connection with another case of the fodder scam during the day.
