Very nice post Das..... I have a very powerful root ..... meaning to me a

rich ancestry ..... and while that is now history and life has moved on .....

as happens with history..... I still find it interesting.

 

I feel like the offspring of the builders of this country, and it is not

really an ego thing... much more dispersonal than that ... but still I am

proud of my roots.

 

I wrote of this before and mentioned that the family has moved on, and the

area where my family was known is now all glass office buildings and malls.

No one but the family itself knows anything about it... seems rather strange,

actually... but if you look at the chart you will see it. I was born at the

end of a cycle.

 

I have studied myself, my birth family, my family history, my children and

their children ...... and my life now with my chart...... very clear cut, I

think...... I would love to know what others see here.

For myself, the above is also what I've thought, minus the fourth. May

be right, but I have rather realized the parts about the 2nd, 5th and

9th for myself.

 

In amplification, I could add, that the second is our deeper

inclinations or overall chemistry founded educational position, because

it relates to the way we speak finally, and to our families. It's alot

to do with our basic roots of education. Our varna level education.

Like, many people in America who come from Jewish families, Indian,

Chinese, or some form of a stricter family, I often find they have

Saturn in the 2nd. Not always obviously, but many that I've met. It's

partly my karma of course. But I often see that a strict upbringing,

with alot of culture preassure, makes for a second house of a certain color.

 

Then I've noticed people with nice and opulant fifth houses, they have

that worldly navigational intelligence to make good lifes for

themselves. Hence it's often found in to be well setup in the charts of

the "successful" folks of the world. I find it helps in navigating life

in such a way with their wits that they shine enough to often have more

fun, or gain more wealth, etc., and this is a type of education or intelligence.

 

Then the ninth house, yes, higher education, like unto getting closer to

God, higher law, Gurudev, etc. The ninth house is the highest house for

ethics and law and order, and fairness, and all the good qualities of

the beings in the heavens. It's more divine in it's impulses, giving

real purity to the thoughts.

 

I have not understood fourth for education, but in this way perhaps, in

that I believe it is best called "the root", as it stands for where we

operate from, be that seen as our mother, as where we came from, or our

house, as what we come from each day. I see this deeper though myself,

as I see it as the whole past root of your being. It represents the

entire past of your ancestors in an overall way. The boost your ancestry

gives you, or your relationship to your root, is seen here.

 

For example, in my case, the fourth lord has gone to the 8th from

itself, or the eleventh, and is with Ketu, and is the Moon, and is in

Aquarius thus in the eleventh.

 

So all this tells us that the death and separation from my root, is a

key part of my desires in this life. True.

 

You see, it is key, because it is the Moon. The Moon essentially means

"very key emotional issue". Then, the 8th angle from the fourth refers

to committing suicide, or inviting grave change upon oneself. So this

tells us that a key emotional issue for me is the separation from my

root, especially my mother, and her whole background, or Irish Catholic,

which is true.

 

Then it is with Ketu, which makes the cut assured.

 

So I renounce my roots pretty seriously in this life, and this is hard.

It is not easy, it is hard. Aquarius means "hard transformation which

are permanent, but difficult to achieve". Ketu means that while risking

something, it will go that way if a break is what is being played with.

So I cast myself off, and it worked, and dealing with that is hard.

 

Cancer is caring royalty. Somehow the mood of my past is not

satisfactory in this way. Where did I go- to Aquarius, ruled by Saturn,

so I decided to leave for what is seen as the lower side of town (Hindus

to my family are a step down for their beloved Richard).

 

And why did I go there? Religion. Because the dispositor of Aquarius is

in the ninth with Jupiter, the lord of the ninth.

 

So I see the fourth as emanination of our root from which our body has

come. To use a term I heard from Jeffrey Armstrong, it's the "momentum

of our ancestoral genes".

 

(He said that expression to me once, but not while discussing the fourth

house, but I think it applies here)

Read Parashara, who explicitly states that it is the 5th house which governs

education, "yantram mantram c vidyam..."
