Guest guest
Do you guys find that when you read Nakshatras it gives you a quick snapshot of the person? How often does it hold true for a person; is it always pointedly correct or is it sort of general, like Western Sun Signs? Does it tip you off right away? Are there any other quick snapshot details of a chart that a person could look at just briefly to get an overview, the way it works in western with the Sun/Moon plus ascendant configuration? Oh. What is a nadi reading? Vedic seems so precise and so different from the Western. Once you read a whole reading you really can get a deep sense of a personality, it's very intense. I was just wondering if there were...other precise shorthand indicators like the nakshatra. One more thing -- I was trawling the net the other day and I ran across this site about jaimini astrology. It gave this formula for telling when a person was going to die! What do you think about that?!It scared me to death -- well, almost. You're supposed to take the lord of the ascendant plus the lord of the eighth and then two more parts like that and match them against a table, and that will tell you when you're supposed to be dead!!! Can that be right? . Thanks in advance. Vox
Guest guest
Dear VOx, there are many ways to get a quick "snapshot" of a person. The Sun and Moon, Nabhasa Yogas, and Karakamsa all give some quick and reliable information. I have an artical on Nabhasa Yogas on my website posted below that may be of help to you in this. I wouldn't give that table you came across for Longevity much credit, predicting death is a very difficult area and there are unfortuneately, but perhaps for the best, no such easy methods for doing so. Guest guest
Dear Vox, Nakshatra is a finer dispositor. It ususally speaks what will manifest on the mental/ relative level. Rasi dispositor is responsible for atma/body, and nakshatra dispostor is responsible for the mind/relative (ever changing) field of phenomena..For example, in my own chart, dhanu lagna, rasi dispositor is guru with ketu in 10.house. Thus, I look like Guru(broad shoulders, tawny eyes, kapha constitution) and my atma is delighted over Guru's and ketu significations. However, naskahtra dispositor of lagna is venus, which is exalted in 4.house with atmakarak sani and rahu. Thus my mind is set on domestic affairs(overly attached to parents, mother and home)and in relative existance I 've experienced so far the cycles of extreme happiness/unhappiness well signified by rahu/saturn and exalted venus. Hopes this helps, Best wishes, Zoran
