One of the list members had tried initiating a topic

on analysing 5/6 planets in Aries. The topic didn't

carry on, but here we are having Saturn, Mars,

Jupiter, Sun all in Aries at the moment.

One application of that would be my favourite topic:

Nasdaq, which has had pretty limited popularity.

Today in the run up to the upcoming Saturn-Mars

conjunction along with Sun in Aries, and we have the

following results:

1. Nasdaq has had the highest single day point drop in

its history.

2. It has lost 36% of its value from March 10, 2000.

3. It has rocked wall street........

Dear Jitendra,

I heard today that "High-tech" companies' Shares had crashed tremendously in

Britain and the US - is this part of the bigger picture you refer to below,

and do you think it is attributable to the same Conjunction (in Aries)?

And for those in the U.K., you know about BMW closing down Rover and how

Principles for Men are closing down completely.

Many thanks - Sateesh.

Dear Sateesh,

The Sat/Mars conjunction would be affecting most of us

in myraid of ways, only limited by how afflicted

planets are in our natal horoscopes. The good news is

the conjuction peaks tomorrow (over a weekend when

markets are closed), luckily near a full moon and then

starts waning.

But that apart, my mail was specifically with

reference to Nasdaq. Nasdaq as we all know has gained

prominence in the past few years and does affect

financial markets all over the world.

Saturn and Mars are first class malefics and whenever

they conjunt (almost once in 2 years) they create

unusually serious setbacks in our lives. This one in

Aries is important, since Mars owns Aries and Saturn

is in its Nichha sthaana. The point is debilitated

planets donot mean they are without significance, but

are powerful enough to dish out things we would not

relish in life.

Margin Calls (People who bought on loans need to pay

up or else their holdings will be sold off) are going

to be a another major factor in this on Monday. Thus,

loans also played a significant part. Saturn governs

loans, and being precipitated things.

We should not overlook Jupiter which has kept this

conjunction in control. If this is not control, then

I wonder what would be the effects of Sat/Mars in

Aries without Jupiter.

Sun came in yesterday and is moving towards Saturn,

another arch enemy. Though Sun is powerful in Aries,

Saturn manages to undo all that Sun's bestows. People

with their natal moons in Taurus are going to have a

tough one month.

Debilitated Mercury is screwing up inteligence. The

only consolation is the exalted Venus in Pisces.

Venus is going to be the only mass rotating out there

that will let us walk away from this smiling.
