Dear list members:

I come across the following terms. Would anybody be able to

tell me the meanings of them please ? Thank you very much.

Capricorn Lagna = Kantha Nadiamsa

Venus Trimsamsa

It seems to be used to describe the division of a sign

or something like that.

Thank you very much.

Regards,

Jerry

Hi, Jerry,

I can help a bit on Kantha Nadiamsa-- a Nadiamsa is as you thought a

division--each degree is divided into 5 nadiamsas. Kantha Nadiamsa is 6 deg.

0'--6 deg. 12' of the movable signs, 23 deg. 48'--24 deg. of the fixed signs,

and 21 deg.0'--21 deg. 12' of the common (dual) signs. (from Deva Keralam).

Samples: "One born in the former half Kantha Nadiamsa, in Capricorn

ascendant, will be a Brahmin, be ever happy, and be the fourth issue...."

"The native will have a charming appearance, be fortunate, be (generally)

skilful and will be endowed with atractive face and eyes. He will be skilful

in dance and music and be fond of scents, garlands and dress. Following his

32nd year, prosperity will dawn. Particularly after the 33rd year."

Nadiamsas are pretty interesting. I am working on a project about 'em,

but I have a hard time sitting down for too long at a time--have to do that a

lot in my "real job," so it's coming along slow.

Venus Trimsamsa is the first 5 degrees of Capricorn--sounds like you got

part of a quote from the page I'm looking at in Deva Keralam (page 122).
