Update on Homeless Devotee (pls keep praying! :)

Om Namah Shivaya everyone,

 

This is a general update.  Just got off the phone with our homeless sibling, who expressed so much deep appreciation & was obviously touched by everyone's love, prayers & compassion.  The devotee received a call yesterday, from another devotee who doesn't know the situation.  They presented the possibility of a very reasonably priced, albeit small & humble rental, close to the MA Center!!!  The devotee doesn't have a deposit, (amount unknown) so I suggested offering to make payments for the deposit.  This would still leave the devotee with very little $ for the month, but it would be so good to get out of the rain & cold.  The devotee should know for certain by this Wednesday, if the rental will come  through.  The devotee said to thank everyone for their prayers, & to please keep praying!

 

For anyone who wants to send a care package, food should be low in salt.  Sunflower seeds & trail mixes would be appreciated. As would Amma's biography, (she has Judith Cornell's book in storage, & would also like, "Mata Amritanadamayi, A Biography"). Trader Joe's grocery certificates would be awesome, as would gas cards.  The devotee also uses Safeway cards for hot soup.

 

Our sibling's car needs to be smogged in about 3 days, so that the car's tags can be updated on time.  The devotee's car is now their home, & they said it will cost $80.

 

If anyone wants to send any kind of help, please e-mail me off-list.  Today was the first time I've heard this devotee talk in a somewhat animated way, & even laugh, since reconnecting with them.  Your encouragement is helping.  This is so hopeful!  Your prayers are making the difference.
