Your Jupiter is in a good house and owns two good houses...GOOD, but Jupiter is in a very weak sign position, plus is a malefic...BAD. So you can expected mixed results. The best gem to help your business is red coral for Mars. It must be flawless, top and bottom. Your Mars is functional benefic, is located in good sign, is in 7th house, and owns the 10th (fame, achievement), so except for 3rd house ownership it is perfect, and that hardly matters. For business drive, wear red coral. Note: Opal is not recognized in Planetary Gemology as a Vedic Jyotish gem for any planet. I don't know a single "Planetary Gemologist" anywhere on Earth who even considers Opal. In PG books it isn't even listed. Only Western Jewish Birthstones mentions Opal because the American Gem Society added it to their bogus "birthstones" list in 1938, for those born in October. Even some Bollywood star wears an Opal, still that means nothing to PG. Bollywood doesn't define Vedic sciences. Forget Opal. Blue Sapphire will make you "blue" as Saturn owns the 12th house (loss). Emerald (Mercury) is a functional malefic for you. You are in Engineering and want to make progress then wear a Red Coral. That's what I wear. Important note: You have Rahu in the terrible 8th house, and now and until March 2007 you are caught in a Rahu subperiod. So you can expect some trouble until then, but you can still make Progress because now you're running a Major Period of Mars (another reason to wear Coral).
