Guest guest
Submitted by Srinivasan R <hereissrinivas > : Great forests are destroyed by careless toss of a match or cigarette. Careless words from our mouths can ignite a spark that can set a whole forest of lives and relationships on fire. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures are being tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. The tongue can not be tamed but can only be controlled. The tongue, to be controlled, must be guarded at all times. With the tongue we sing prayers/bhajans, and with it we curse other people. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? Our words - how we talk and about what we talk reveals our hearts like nothing else. Our conversation is our advertisement to the world of who we are - what we're like - what we feel and what we think. -------------------- There must have been a good reason why God made man's ears to stay open and the mouth to stay shut.....In the snowy mountains of Switzerland there are regions where the guides warn travelers not to utter a single word, because the slightest vibration of air can cause the overhanging snow to move and create an avalanche, carrying everything along with it into the abyss. Who would think that one word could have such terrible consequences? Om Sai Ram! "Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu Gurur Devoh Maheshwar; Gurur Shakshat Parambramha Tashmai Shri Gurur Veh Namah" May the Merciful Sri Sai Baba always shower His grace on us and our families and remove our problems and anxieties by giving us all - strength , goodluck, success and happiness with peace of mind.
