Guest guest
In the 9th post of this series, discussion on water properties was initiated. This post offers the remaining discussion on water as a therapeutic substance. Hydrotherapy is the branch of naturopathy which studies the therapeutic uses of water. Naturopathy does not give much importance to magical waters; however, ancient Indian acharyas, saints and many fakirs have created miracles by sprinkling magical water over sick patients or by giving them such waters to drink. It appears that water can be made magical by chanting mantras or meditating in close proximity to the water's source. Perhaps water is sensitive and picks up the vibrational energy of the environment energized by this chanting of mantras. For those who do not believe in this effect, consider the effect of music, especially the different ragas of Indian classical music have on you. If you go to an Indian temple, priests distributes such water. Ancient Indian texts mention the "Parjanya yaga", the set of mantras to be recited by a collection of people to cause it to rain. They are trying to influence the water vapor in clouds to consolidate and cause those rains. This type of chanting takes place at Akola, (in state Maharashtra, India) every summer and a day or two of rain is experienced. If you visit Devalapar Goushala of Go-vigyan Sanshodhan Kendra (Cow science research center at Nagpur, India), you can witness 400 cows urinating together after hearing daily music. This is needed as urine needs to be collected manually for making medicines. They exhibit familiar reflex. Even plants have been seen to respond to music. Water element of the body, which gives compassion, emotions etc responds to music. Since this element is there in most living beings, they respond to sound energy. But why water alone? Astrological samhitas mention the charging of crystals and gems by the chanting of mantras in close proximity to the stones. It is only then that they start acting as a beneficial medium. Most of us know that the various stones worn on the fingers are made of minerals. There have been some posts on mineral deficiency and its effect on our health. Author has also posted some info on minerals and their effects on CNS. The effect of trace mineral deficiencies such as Selenium on hair health is a subject of hot debate and research. For a scientific mindset it can become difficult to accept the fact that sound vibrational energies can be absorbed into matter and have an impact on the person wearing those stones or drinking that charged water; but taking cue from Indian culture, Masaru Emoto, a creative and visionary Japanese researcher, has written an excellent book on his research, titled "The Message from Water". According to Stace Sharp, "water has a very important message for us. Water is telling us to take a much deeper look at our selves. When we do look at our selves through the mirror of water, the message becomes amazingly, crystal clear. We know that human life is directly connected to the quality of our water, both within and all around us. Emoto provides us with factual evidence, that human vibrational energy, thoughts, words, ideas and music, affect the molecular structure of water that comprises over seventy percent of a mature human body and covers the same amount of our planet." Energy or vibrations in the environment change the molecular shape of water. In this sense, water not only has the ability to visually reflect the environment but it also molecularly reflects the environment, showing many fascinating differences in the crystalline structures of water from many different sources and different conditions around the planet. Water from pristine mountain streams and springs shows the beautifully formed geometric designs in their crystalline patterns. Polluted and toxic water from industrial and populated areas and stagnated water from water pipes and storage dams shows definitively distorted and randomly formed crystalline structures. Water reacts to different environmental conditions, pollution and music among them.Water is as complex as quantum physics. In order to properly hydrate the body you have to have alkalinized micro-clustered structured water that is similar to a hexagonal snowflake when viewed frozen under a microscope. This is intracellular water that penetrates the cell versus floating on the outside of the cell membrane. Such an ideal structure is found in many glaciers of Alpine and Himalayan glaciers as brought out by Todd (Message 2133). Most of these thoughts on water crystalline structure are given at: http://www.wellnessgoods.com/messages.asp Let us discuss how to create desired water. To create this desired water chemistry, there's an invention called The Alkalizer. In this machine, tap water comes in, is filtered through a carbon filter and then run through the machine where it is restructured by platinum and titanium plates through electrolysis. The water is restructured into the snowflake structure called a micro-cluster, which has a particle size so tiny that it passes right through the cell membrane into the cell. It bonds to any nutrition components in the blood, especially oxygen, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, pro- oxidants, etc., pulling them right into the cell with it. Most waters are flat and dead because they have no mineral content. Reverse osmosis and distillation have no life force. It may be pure filtered water, but unfortunately it becomes flat dead water that floats only on the outside of the cell as opposed to penetrating that cell. Due to mineral contents of cow urine, however, distillates have high bio- availability, the penetration power into cells. Hence it carries all herbal phyto-chemicals to cells. This is the secret of high power of inexpensive Panch Gavya medicines. This kind of power is also exhibited by Honey, that is the reason Ayurveda calls it yoga-vahi. It means honey enhance the power of every medicine it mixes with. Any wonder that many tablets of ayurveda use honey as binder or adhesive. Despite scientific inventions, author believes by personal experience, that nothing beats the effects of copper vessel water on cellular hydration. Whether this is a personal bias or truth can be determined by experimentation by members of this list. Another way to make water sharper (ionic) for digestion is by using lemon juice. The use of lemon juice for cleaning the bile duct is a well known fact, and author uses lemon juice in an eight day detox programme aimed at liver and gall bladder cleanses. In the last post in this series we saw that the body has bio-electricity. Dr. Reams found that as people aged they built up a cationic overload. (http://www.nationalwatercenter.org/sosei.htm) He tested foods to see which ones might alleviate this overload. The only anionic food in hundreds and hundreds of food tested, proved to be freshly squeezed lemon juice. Since water commonly contains a wide variety of cations, the only water he found that was essentially cation free was distilled water. So for a while he operated a clinic that supervised fasting on distilled water with a little fresh squeezed lemon juice in it. This went a long ways towards health and the arrest of aging with many people. All of us know that lemon juice contains Vitamin C, and a combination of C and E Vitamins is good for cardiac health, a discovery which gave Dr Linus Pauling the Nobel prize about 20 years ago. To enhance the absorption of both these vitamins in the body use Aloe Vera. (See: http://www.herbalremedies.com/swimsuit-season.html) Vit. C can cure even cancer and what Dr Reams says is reconfirmed by actual experience of end stage breast cancer, as stated by a patients relative: "We asked the doctor if we could take charge of her care. As he had nothing to offer – she was too late for chemotherapy or radiotherapy – he was happy to do so. We immediately contacted an eminent doctor who looks beyond the mainstream for effective treatments. He was confident he could reverse the cancer, even at that late stage, and when we met him with Edith, he explained what he would do. Central to the treatment was Vitamin C therapy, given intravenously. This was to be combined with intravenous hydrogen peroxide, and a radical change to Edith's diet. It was a bold approach, because study after study had disproved the theory, first mooted by Linus Pauling, that high doses of Vitamin C could kill cancer cells. Pauling had gone to his grave, certain that the theory was right, and yet never having the recognition from his peers. Within six months of treatment, Edith's breast had completely healed. Within a year all signs of cancer had gone. The family doctor saw her in the street a year on from his gloomy prognosis, and he was convinced he had seen a ghost. He asked her to have a scan, which revealed no trace of cancer whatsoever." Researchers have finally confirmed that Dr. Pauling was right all along. When they gave three terminal cancer patients the treatment containing high-dose Vitamin C, their tumours shrunk. As they reported in the latest issue of the Canadian Association's Medical Journal, Vitamin C is toxic to cancer cells. A large body of scientific literature on Vit. C and Cancer is available at: http://www.orthomed.com/cancer.htm Indian acharyas have noted this type of property in Amalki also, creating Chyavanprash. Due to anionic nature of Amalaki juice, you may find that Amalki powder is used in herbal mixtures in order to tackle the hyper acidity problem. Moreover, it is surprising that many herbal formulations of Ayurveda contain Amalaki as a basic ingredient. The reason for not counting Amalki and lemon in sour tasting foods which are contraindicated in Vatic and Pittic problems, may now be clear. There are many such exceptions in Ayurveda and while some are already mentioned in earlier posts, more will be discussed in future posts by this author. In India, followers of traditional methods use earthenware pots for storing drinking water. This earthen pot, being porous, allows water to ooze out, and vaporization of this water gives cooling effect. Another advantage of the earthen pot is that the microbes seek shelter in crevices and pores of pot walls, so that the filtration, sedimentation and reduction of microbes takes place in most inexpensive way. Minerals of earthen pot enter water, giving it a taste to some extent, also taking care of any mineral deficiency. Utilizing this property of earthen pots, some medicines of Ayurveda, especially those for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (Grahani, Sangrahani) use the same earthen pot to prepare a yoghurt containing medicines. Herbal powders are added to milk before fermentation, adding Lactobacillus and other friendly bacteria to the yoghurt which decomposes the medicines to make them act more effectively. This article would be incomplete without mentioning the naturally medicated waters which are free gift of nature, such as hot water springs erupting from bowels of earth; they contain many minerals and especially sulphur. The affinity of sulphur for mercury is an advantage for patients poisoned by mercury in vaccines or fish. Many skin diseases are cured by bathing in these waters for weeks and many Indian patients visit such springs. In India, these springs are available at Ganeshpuri, Vajreshwari and Vikramgadh near Mumbai and Manikaran in Himachal Pradesh. In Manikaran, a pilgrimage place for Sikhs, one gets inexpensive accommodation and free food, as a service by Sikh Gurudwara. Compare this with most expensive skin disease treatments offered in west. Similar to these spring waters, waters from holy rivers of India should also be mentioned. You may find waters of Ganges or Yamuna river (especially near pilgrimage centers) dirty and polluted. A scientific study established that, while a glass of well treated municipal tap water, though having negligible content of pathogens initially, developed them fast in 6-8 hours. On the other hand, the water from these holy rivers, initially containing a good number of pathogens, in 6-8 hours became totally free of pathogens. Naturally dissolved chemical content of river water killed those bacteria, fungus and viruses. Epidemics during Kumbh Mela are due to the tap water! Water from Ganges is carried to Siva Temple Rameswaram, South India, and stored there in copper pots. This water too remains pathogen free for many years. Thus we see that water is medicine as well as nutrition. We have also seen that water from spiritual sources nourishes the spirit too. In the next post in this series, we will discuss cellular nutrition and assess the possibility of cellular nutrition nurturing spirit too.
