Guest guest
Hey there, Did you mean me or Iswari?? Too funny, because I keep taking out comments about "the sash people" from my posts. Since I only moved to NYC right before the 2001 attacks, I think we've met more in San Ramon than here where you are on such "eagle-eyed" security detail. You've been the bearer of fruit and/or flower prasad a few times at the end of Devi Bhava that has been mind-soothing and secured my gratitude. And I endlessly offer airport rides, because its an easy way to see people travelling through and also I grew up in a small town where the whole extended family would take you to or from a flight. Perhaps we don't know each other formally, although your wife and I are somewhat friendly with each other and of course you helped with the flower petal throwing at our wedding in Rhode Island in that same year. [Kenna, had I seen your post in time I would have offered the same to you! If your son is reading this and has your flight and/or cell give a ping.] My husband Jeff has long silver curly ponytail, glasses, and a dark beard, and can look a bit like Jerry Garcia at times. He doesn't spend much time in the hall, doing a lot of driving; and I'm tall and, uh, apparently stronger than I knew. If you have Unexpected Darshan 4, She's Got the Whole World in Her Hands, there's a clip of us in the sequence of Amma's leela about making a muscle / flexing biceps. I think in the 8th segment of the dVd, after a Catholic monk goes up with a large rudraksha mala, some (French?) nuns are blessed, and someone with striped mittens that Amma plays with. Which is really quite funny as I think about it, because Jeff calls you "the muscle man." warmly, prashanti Aum Amriteswarayai Namaha! Terms of Service. Guest guest
Hi, I actually meant Ishwari. Sounds like we've met before on Tour anyway. The security work I've done at SR has been different than stops on the Tour like NYC. I'd like to just retire from most of it if I could, but it just keeps coming up. Many times everyone else refuses to deal with certain situations, so they come and get me. Pretty silly. Just karma and lila I guess. I just flow with what is most needed. That's always been my trip. Back in the day, we didn't have all these departments. There were not that many people around who were willing to do that much so the ones that were just did anything and everything that was needed. I just happen to be one of those people. Since a great deal of that was in the hall under Hari Suddha, I just sort of stayed that way to an extent. I'm glad my prasad efforts touched you in some way. Now we don't get to give it away but exchange it for donations to further support the charitable projects. Its always fun for me. I miss making my enormous trays for the Bhava, but at least I can still make a nice personal tray for Amma. I remember the segment you are talking about as I was close by. I have my own Amma flexing story, which I'll tell at some later time. Gayatri used to refer to me the "guy with the muscles" too before she knew me better. I guess I stand out that way. Its that and the pony tail. Ha! Well see you on Tour. Will you be in San Ramon? If so, come by and say hi again. Jai Maa!
