There is no need for prior knowledge of Sanskrit or Vedas. All details are given below. With regards, Keerthivasan.R -------------------- Camp on Vedic Yoga (Yoga in Vedic Literature) Dates: 2nd June 2006 (Friday) to 4th June 2006 (Sunday) Camp will start on 2nd June night (around 8 pm) and end on 4th June (Sunday) evening. Background: Web of Life Makers (Webolim) is an organisation which spreads the Vedic values in everyday life. To demystify Vedas and Ramayana, lectures, camps, workshops, classes, demonstrations are conducted in various places. It has conducted lectures / workshops on Vedas & Ramayana in Hyderabad (29th Feb 05), Karimnagar (July 10th) and in Chennai there was a 6 hour workshop on Vedas on July 25th. Webolim also conducts residential camps on Vedas & Ramayana. Recent ones have been the camps in Chennai (July 30th & 31st), Karimnagar (Nov 4th to Nov 6th) and Madurai (27th Jan to 29th Jan). These camps had participants from various cities like Hyderabad, Jaipur, and Bangalore etc. On continuing this endeavor, we are planning the next camp in Bangalore. No prior knowledge of Sanskrit, Vedas are required for the participants. The lectures will be in English. The camp is open for all. Some of the topics in which Webolim has conducted the camps are ""Service in Vedas & Ramayana" & "Life forces in Vedas". Schedule: The schedule is given separately. The camp will be covering the following topics: 1. Introduction to Vedas 2. Ethics & Values in Vedas 3. Upasanas & Meditations in Vedas 4. Yogic Insights in Ramayana 5. Patanjali – A follower of Vedas 6. Source of Buddhism in Vedic Literature 7. Asanas, Pranayama & Meditation are also taught in this camp Resource persons: 1. Shri R.Rangan is a Vedic scholar and a spiritual guide. He is presently a lecturer in Vivekananda Yoga University, Bangalore. He has written many books on Vedas, Ramayana & Yoga giving their meaning and their practicality for the present age. He is the founder president of Webolim. 2. Dr. Ram Mohan is a scholar of Vedas, Vedanta & Tamil literature. He is the vice president of Ramana Kendra, Chennai and edits the "Ramanodayam" journal. He is also the Editor – Advisor of "Mountain Path" journal published from Ramanasramam, Tiruvanamalai. He is also a doctorate in Strategic Studies. 3. Dr. Rajagopalan has done his PhD in the topic "Management in Indian Texts". He is scholar of Sanskrit and Vedanta literature. He has over 30 years of work experience in various fields of management and presently he is a management consultant. 4. Other scholars who are yet to confirm. Venue: Prashanti Kutiram (Swami Vivekananda Yoga Mahavidhyapeetham) Kallabalu Post Jigani Hobli Anekal Taluk Bangalore District. Prashanti Kutiram is located 32 kilometers off Bangalore.
