Guest guest
IT SEEMS THAT THE TWO PHOTOS WITH RICHARD GERE INDICATE THAT HE IS UNWELL. Amma is touching Gere on the shoulder yet he seems glum? Guest guest
"While great souls give importance to spiritual values, their followers often give more importance to institutions and organizations. As a result, the very religions that were meant to spread peace and tranquility by stringing people together on the thread of love have become the cause of war and conflict" Amma said. ~from 2nd photo~ 2 May 2006, Interfaith Center, New York At the evening satsang with Amma, Samarpana overheard some men in Suits who attended the Interfaith Event earlier, say that more than half of the people there( earlier ) went for an Amma Hug; people who normally, probably, would not do so. Samarpana and I did go after deciding NOT to go to hang out at the museum for various reasons ; but a last minute phone call from a friend was like Amma "calling." It was beautiful and a miracle; even a broken down train in front of ours caused only a short delay in getting from NJ to NYC. After about one hour of hugging maybe 150-200 devotees, Amma ended the satsang about 1:00AM which was just perfect for us to catch the last train home. When the announcment was being made( somewhat apologetically ) that those who recieved Darshan should consider leaving quitely ; Ramakrishna was translating to Amma who was making facial expressions which were enough to convince me it was OK to stay a little longer till the end. To answer Anantashree's Q, we don't go to any NJ or NY satsangs and our donating status is almost down to nill. So, basically, any devotee who "somehow" got the info could attend this Satsang with Amma. Tuesday evening is one of the normal NYC satsangs, so most of them were there; and the two NJ satsangs also were informed. So far, during almost 11 years with Amma for me and almost 6 years for Samarpana, we were blessed with one Amma airport departure and now one Special Amma satsang. The prasad was very tasty, and seeing that there was a second bowl, I went for seconds. I did say a short prayer for our group and for our prayer list. Today, Samarpana says I smell like Amma; I said maybe it's because I did not take a shower yet; then again there is imagination; and then there are miracles. It seems everything around Amma is a miracle; when our hearts are open to it. Amma Bless, ammarnath Ammachi, Suja Sivanand <kitchuss> wrote: > > Terms of Service. Guest guest
Dear Amarnath: Just enough time to catch train back to NJ? Oh that was just a coincidence that's all (Ha Ha) Once again Amma shows that She loves NY/NJ and btw all Her children wherever we abide. As usual Amma did not take much rest from the report you have shared. She may have felt that She was lazy by stopping Darshan at 1:00 am after a trans-oceanic flight and a major speech. Amma's works habits redefine the term Karma Yoga. BTW Did Supreme Court Justice Breyer (get a Darshan)? Amarnthji, your post was very lucid. Thank you very much for this excellent post. I was wondering this myself. - leokomor Ammachi Wednesday, May 03, 2006 1:24 PM Re: latest photos Dear Amarnath: Just enough time to catch train back to NJ?
