It was very loving of you to send Amma's Global

Satsang the report. One can feel the love Amma

manifests through reports like yours.  Reading your

report here in California gave me chills of joy.  Amma

in a jammed penthouse?  Did the upper West Side get

transformed into Amma Loka?

Sister P-ji, you did an excellent job conveying a

complex and eclectic event.  This type of reporting

and generosity of spirit is what makes the Y-Satsang

occasionally invaluable.

Gratefully,

All of New York felt like that, as if a quietness had fallen over things,

blessing the cacophany of this place.  It was truly an extraordinary

stillness, at least by my perception.

I'm not sure of the family's name, Surya; maybe someone else knows.

Faith and surrender indeed.  I was more sure than not, but still the

Well, if it happens again, and we are still here, we live in Queens about

15-20 mintues from both the JFK and LGA airports.  So could pick you up and

offer a couch in a very cluttered apartment,  if that would mitigate the

cost-bliss justification ratio.  But it's not an ideal crash place during

tour since we are at least 60-90 minutes by public transportation from the

Manhattan Center, depending on the time of night, and rarely seem to make it

back to the morning programs as as a result.

I wish I were a jewel on Her nose ring.

I wish I were the saftey pin on Her dress.

I wish I were the Splenda in Her sweet pudding.

Who has that recipe??

Prashanti,

Thank you for your comments and your offer of a place to stay.  I have other generous friends in NYC as well, so that was not the issue.  It was the transportation and missing of another 2-3 work days.  Also I felt Amma might be a little upset with me to spend that kind of money (at least $500 or so) for just the one day of seeing Her instead of giving it to the poor and needy.  I love being with Amma in person, especially in those kind of settings.  I've enjoyed my share of them and even much more private ones.  But now I try my best not to waste money unnecessarily.  Its only 1 more month until I get to be with Amma, so I will just tough it out!  Ha!

Blessings,

Surya

Also, I'm always in NYC.  Haven't missed it since I started in 1990.  We must have met, no?
