Dear Dr. Naaz

let me describe some original facts about Karpur

According to Natural classification - Karpur comes under Lauracease family.

1-

Bhimsaine karpur or Baras Karpur is original karpur which is used as oral medicine with some other herbs or jadi booty. - Bhimsaine karpur is resourced from tree under Shaal family ( Dipterocarpaceae) in Sumatra and Bornia .

2- Chini karpur- this is know as gum of Cinnemomum cemphora 's tree and found in china , Japan and jawa and now in india and i have a tree .

3- Indian Karpur - This is called Ocimum Kilimands Charcium. This is taken out from leaves fo Karpuri tulsi ( Labiatac ). Although its original place is Kenia - East Africa. But now avilable in Maharstra, Mysore, Jammu and Dehradun.

4- Patri or Nagi karpur - this is taken out from Kukrondha family ( Blumea ) . This herb is found in kumayon, uttranchal.

Karpur- test for originality

1- Place a small piece of karpur in test tube and heat it - if it is pure then smoke will release from it and it would melt. if it is impure then does not release smoke.
