Vedic declamation contest held in city

  Ludhiana, April 29: THE Ved Parchar Mandal organised a vedic 

paper-reading and declamation contest here today at DAV Public 

School, Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar. The aim was to inculcate moral 

values among the youth. The contest was presided over by principal 

of the school, R.S. Patial. In all 14 students participated in the 

paper-reading competition in two different categories.  

Kanav, Akansha and Divyansha won the first, second and third prizes 

respectively. Twelve students participated in the declamation 

contest. In this Mansimar, Parag and Aayushi grabbed the first, 

second and third places respectively. They also highlighted the role 

of Arya Samaj in creating a secular society and ridding it of social 

evils.  

Advertisement  Addressing the audience, chief secretary of Arya 

Mandal Roshan Lal Arya said that this competition aims at awakening 

the youth and making them realise the importance of Indian culture. 

He urged the students to set the aim of their lives and work hard.
