Gentlemen,

I have just joined this group and would like share some of my thoughts

with you. as given below:

1.

    About Taliban /Muslim behavior

The most outrage against civilized society is the brutal beheading of

an innocent Indian engineer, working to rebuild  a destroyed country.

The response from the entire world is limited to 'expressing great

shock' and universal condemnation of the behavior.

Is this all that should be done? There should be no room for reaction

to any such misdeeds. But  there is no  sign of even an intellectual

debate as to why one large part of our society even in this 21st

century is not affected by feelings of love, compassion, causing pain

and suffering at least  for all fellow human beings, if not for all

living beings or for things created in nature.

The psychologists have  a branch of study called PSTD. Post Trauma

Stress Disturbance.

Circumcision has been a practice as a matter of faith among all

ancient  communities of 2.warm desert climates, which may not have

abundance of water for sanitary and washing needs. The primitive

societies also have  the incidence of infant mortality. But

circumcision was an overriding,  felt need of the society. While the

modern hospital and health care could ensure safe circumcision in

first few weeks of delivery, the older less  privileged communities

had to evolve a tradition of circumcision to  a safer  and  deferred

prepuberty age. Thus Muslims evolved a tradition of circumcision

around 8 years to 11 years, age of boys. This also came to be

associated with coming of age.

This is very impressionable age. The effects of resulting PTSD at this

age can manifest as a near lack of 'civilized' behavior involving

compassion, love and feelings for other humans.

Let us not confuse ourselves in to seeing the Taliban, Alkaeda, Jihadi

behavior as flowing from any religious belief. If at all circumcision

is desired perhaps there should be a humanitarian call to do it at the

earliest  to reduce the PTSD, and protect the future  human society

from such deviant misdeeds.

First of all, with great reverence I bow my head to

all the great men who deliberated at Tirupati

to 'Create Hindu Awakening'. As a very ordinary humble but a very

concerned person, I would like to make a submission.

Put together all the combined resources i.e.  spiritual, moral,

financial, at the command of  these munnani are almost limitless.

What our 'Hindu' suffers from is abysmal ignorance, complete loss of

character and education, and that is the primary reason for his

continuing weakness. And by Hindu  I mean all who consider themselves

as sons and daughters of this great civilization. And by education I

do not mean paper certificates as are being granted by our schools and

colleges, certifying doubtful  proficiency in literacy if any.  From

this  state of our society flows all the poverty of , character,

spiritual, moral, and material life, which condemns our nation to a

perpetual hell  which is of our own making.

I wonder if our munnani have ever thought of the truth behind our Rig

Vedic dictum 'Nirundhano amatim gobhirashwinah' RV1-53-4. Amatim ie no

mati total ignorance, gives rise to total poverty at all levels and

its solution as per Vedas   lies in good animal husbandry.  Cows as

Atharv Veda10.9.2 &3, say 'Yah shatodana pachate kam prena sa

kalpate-- Sa swarga ma rohati dasti yatra divam diva' Those who

maintain good cows earn the boon to fulfill all their  projects and

gradually move  day by day to SWARGA. All 'developed' nations USA,

Canada, Australia Denmark ... which our youth perceive as 'SWARGA'

maintain SHATAUDANA i.e. good high yielding COWS. Vedas are still

valid at all levels.

Our great planners are all shouting from house tops

that future of our country lies in 'CITIES' and they are joined in

this conspiracy by the benevolent 'WEST. We trumpet that we are the

largest milk producer in the world. But we do not tell, that this

highest milk production figure is a mere 3% of total world milk

production. Our average milk availability per capita is about the

lowest in the world. We have 57% of world's buffaloes and 15% of

world's cows, which when taken together  come to about 30%  of world

cattle population. From this 30% of world cattle population  our total

milk production  is a  mere 3% of the world production of milk. So

much for the truth behind our claim of  white revolution. The  average

milk production of Indian cattle is about 1/10 th of the world average

milk production. Does this not show that all our claim of 'WHITE

REVOLUTION' is a false smoke screen to mislead our nation by vested

interests like world Skimmed Milk Dry Powder export lobby in

connivance with our Dairy Industry, and chemical fertilizer producing

interests. With 90% of rural women toiling for our  emaciated cattle

the resulting material and social poverty is unimaginable.

We had nearly 600 cows per 1000 Indians at independence. To day we

are reduced to merely150 cows per 1000 Indians. Even with this lowest

world level production of milk by our cows, the cow based products

constitute nearly 25% of our total agriculture contribution to India's

GDP.  Our agriculture GDP  has however remained almost stagnant in the

post green revolution period. The reason being that our planners have

not considered the role of cows in non dairy sector in our GDP. We

hear that we have no land for pastures for cows to feed. There is

acute shortage of fodder and feed for our cows, and it is no wonder

that our cows starve and perhaps we should be grateful for the cow

slaughter supporting communities and industry, which by reducing our

cow population is helping us to make more cow feed available for the

existing cows. There can not be a bigger travesty of truth.

A mere 5% of our nearly 320 million hectares of  farm land, Waste

lands and peripheral forest lands, i.e just from about 18 million

hectares of  land  by good well managed pasture farming strategies and

hydroponics fodder complementary support, as already being practiced

in countries like Australia and New Zealand,   can  ensure adequate

feed for our cows, and boost the contribution by our cows to our

agriculture GDP in a very significant manner, without any cost to

Govt. Only  technical support strategies in good green fodder

production and good cow keeping practices have to be propagated for

which only private community initiatives are needed for rural SEWA and

VOCATIONAL  EDUCATION work, which have never formed part of any body's

initiative so far.

We are a nation of big Gobhaktas. We want laws to be changed to ban

cow slaughter, good. But are we concerned that we  starve our mother

cows to death by disease and hunger ,allow them to drink sewer water .

which makes the cows infertile, while still paying our lip service

worship to 'mother cow'? We are indifferent to the sight of hungry

cows loitering on our streets. We are happy to open Gosadans, but

Gosamwardhan and proper veterinary care is not in our agenda. Our

Gosadans allow most of the cows to die because a dead cow is worth

more than Rs 1000, while a live cow  not giving any milk costs money

to look after and feed.

We see every day on road sides, thousands of cows migrating  out of

draught stricken areas to perhaps Bangladesh. Except for Govt granting

thousands of crores of money every year for draught relief, has any

thing been ever thought of,  to take care of starving cows? Yes we

worship cows, but only lip service survives and not the mother cow.

But I assert with full reasoning that we have failed to address the

issue on all counts. And whatever measures, how so ever well meaning,

were initiated, by way of Exotic Cross Breeding, Artificial

Insemination, Production of High Yielding Pedigree Bulls, Production

of very High yielding Cows, concentrate feeds, have all  met with very

little success on the ground, in spite of huge effort and expense in

the last 40 years. In fact many in the  professional community have

now  started admitting in private  that most of  these strategies have

either been discarded in the developed world by giving preference to

miniature cows, natural breeding,  organic and only pasture fed cow's

raw milk ( all in line with our ancient Indian wisdom) as a result of

latest scientific   researches. The  measures introduced in India,

were often  not suitable models for being transplanted in our ground

situation.

This is one constructive area I will pray for our Tirupati conclave

munnani to do some thing about in addition to building huge brick and

mortar edifices like akshardham in Delhi, and Ram Janmabhumi mandir.

As Vedas say, immense boons will flow to our society by better

nutrition,  health, organic agriculture and disease free society,

automatically from cow. And as Rig  Veda says 'Madhu Vidhya'  harmony

in life follows from 'Gomahima'. Good cow keeping  changes the very

personality of the society. Psychologists confirm that by keeping a

pet the personality of an individual undergoes great change and make

him more tolerant of intrusion in to his privacy, more loving and

affectionate , more inclusive than exclusive.

Indian had a tradition of keeping cows in their homes as pets and that

accounts for the difference in the character of Hindu culture from

others. This change is being observed in Americans who have started

keeping cows as their pets. To start with all of them are tending to

become vegetarians. The experiment by Madhya Pradesh Govt by

entrusting the care of their stray cows to their Jail inmates is a

shining confirmation of this Vedic wisdom.

I would like the munnani to share a very small part of their strength,

resources and wealth, in poverty and ignorance alleviation of our

country by GOSAMWARDHAN in rural areas.

We have been clamoring that our Govt should set up a cow mission.

What prevents all our munnani to combine and evolve a cow mission of

our own. What has Govt got to do with this?
