Guest guest
Namah Shivaya Fundraising for charitable purposes in any way linked to Amma's name has to be carefully administered by MA Center to protect the nonprofit status of MA Center. Her charitable work is very dependent on that status. For example, satsang coordinators, must take great care to use local mailing lists solely for nonprofit purposes. This is what made administration of Katrina relief funds so difficult. Those funds couldn't be distributed to anyone who didn't have a nonprofit status. It wouldn't work, for example, to promote Sanatini's project because she doesn't have nonprofit status and all proceeds are not going to Amma's charities. One of the really unique things about Amma's nonprofit activities is that there are no salaries coming out of the donations. So Amma's nonprofit dollars go further than most nonprofit dollars, and She's always urging us to find ways to make them go further. May She guide us to serve according to Her will. premarupa Aum Amriteswarayai Namaha! Terms of Service.
Guest guest
Namah Shivaya Premarupa, But I am not reallly understanding your point. First of all, how do you claim to know whether or not I have non profit status? Secondly, The fundraising I am doing with Saraswati's Sweets requires me to use a large amount of my own money, and my own work. I take out enough of the profit to cover my costs, and the rest goes to Amma. Do you give 50% of your salary to amma and think that it should not be considered a donation? I fail to see your logic here, as I am making a product, and offering a very large percentage of that profit to Amma. I have never said that it is in any way associated with the M.A. Center; only that i know my brothers and sisters would benefit from what I am offering, and Amma's charities will benefit as well, because 50% of all profits go to Her. By the way, not that it is really any of your concern, I have non profit status, but this has no bearing on this issue, whatsoever, I my most humble opinion. May Amma Bless You, Dear Sister.
