Guest guest
"...You may note that they said "lust", not a loving sexual relationship with one's partner/spouse. Also there are many paths. Each Saint speaks from Their perspective and background..." Dear Surya - Here is a different wisdom, a different teaching from a divine source to consider. With good wishes, Cynthia In the arena of knowledge of our sexual selves there is great opportunity to witness our love made physical for here too like every other aspect of our lives our beliefs our trust and our surrender to beauty become the energy that transforms our experiences and our desires Legend speaks of the day when innocence was taken away from man and from woman and in their nakedness they first came to know shame And in this moment the parts of the body that represent great pleasure and the ability to co-create new life were hidden beneath the garb of decency mystery and self-blame With the hiding came the price of confusion and as with all repressed power the danger of distortion for we cannot deny these aspects of our birthright as they wait they struggle and they fight to be named Is it possible that in choosing such denial from the outset mankind elected to step away from a source of potent delight freedom and self-healing and by so doing create a tragic imbalance for which we have paid century after century through broken hearts broken bodies and a legacy of the cruelest shame? What if instead of all the destructive emotions we have come to associate with our sexual bodies our sexual selves we instead viewed them as sources of primal creativity profound beauty and life-giving power that not only enhances but gives meaning to every aspect of our lives from birth until the day we die? What if a man's sexual power were allowed to speak itself fully until he found no need to reconstruct what has been denied through aggressive acts of compensation for what he is afraid that he lacks? What if a woman were to understand that between her legs lives the miraculous and that her abundant glorious and seductive form is intended to be an expression of her own power in every aspect in every variation always a manifestation of the creative goddess who has birthed life from the core of the planet to the exploding heavens above? How can we live and be whole with such dynamic and extraordinary potency buried unseen? Where do we pretend to keep it? Where does it go when we think it is lost when it is so perfectly denied? One of the imbalances that has occurred is the almost universal separation between heart and groin experienced culturally in the compartmentalizing of sexuality as permissible only within societal controls or within the bounds of acceptable reproductive intent Sexual behaviour is allowed if it is in the right place if it is with the right person if it is within the boundaries of the shame already experienced by the community as a whole for our fear of sexual power is so pervasive that no single body is without the scars of so many attempts to prevent it living free And so when we ask our bodies to live in health and in joy we wonder why we do not respond to the simple pleasure of a caress of a kiss of a connection with a loving heart that wishes to share our desires We wonder why it seems so difficult to love these aspects of ourselves these luxurious complex organs and glands that long for the touch for the heat of a lovers hand in the very places where we have held our fear kept our darkness buried our shame for so long We fear that we will be seen and exposed We fear that we will be misunderstood and rejected or controlled We fear that our shame will be witnessed and this is a far greater fear than the demons we manage to keep in private where no one but our own judge can see All around us denied sexual power leaks out the forbidden becoming blatant the inaccessible becoming banal as we pretend and pretend and pretend that nothing is wrong and that we can make our own gods thank you very much in an apparently godless world And yet there is no shortcut to be found to the paradise we all remember somewhere some distant sense that every aspect of our bodies and our hearts are given for a reason and that when they are allowed to speak in concert then the most exquisite communication may be heard It must begin for each of us when we are ready to stand naked not just before a lover not just before god but before ourselves and in this way see the wholeness of our nudity for the first time like a child like an explorer who first lays eyes upon an undiscovered ocean an unexpected mountain a forest full of scented trees This has nothing to do with an idealized beauty of youth though the eye instinctively longs for the unpicked peach and the unblemished pear This is only the chance to observe the completeness of the human body and its inherent perfection for yes we walk we eat we breathe we excrete and we are made to interconnect in an experience of bliss and thereafter feed our offspring from the milk of our own flesh In all of these is found joy In all of these is found astonishing perfection and when we are ready to live every aspect of our physical selves then we will be ready to live every aspect of our spirit as it has chosen to reside upon the Earth ------------------------ Sponsor --------------------~--> Join modern day disciples reach the disfigured and poor with hope and healing http://us.click./lMct6A/Vp3LAA/i1hLAA/XUWolB/TM --~-> <*> / <*> <*> Your
