found something else that might explain the theory of pacification versus pro

active counteraction in Indian Astrology

One of our respected members has a book out called Ancient Astrological

Gemstones and Talismans by Mr Richard Shaw Brown

In it he relates an incident that happened to him many years ago and I will

print it here for you to read

I was advised to wear a blue saphire to pacify Saturn according to some

Sidereal Astrologers...........one group opined that gems should be used to

pacify harmful planets............. when another group believed that gems

should be used to counteract and thus strengthen weak planetary

influences........while yet another belief is again in counteraction by

strengthening beneficial or auspicious planets to solve the difficulty

After a long search........I began wearing a most Auspicious Blue Saphire and

began haveing ill fortune..................I started getting frequent headaches

adn my business started slowing down along with my energy

level............Almost everything I did was beset by

obstacles............finally after using the stone for almost one year I took

it off in frustration

Later I had the opportunity to show my birth chart to Pandit Vidyadhar Shukla (

the Chief Brahman Priest in Thailand ) who confirmed that Saturn was indeed a

bad influence for me..........He further suggested that as the blue saphire

made matters worse......this was a good case against the theory that gems

pacify harmful planets.........He suggested that I use ruby to strengthen Sun

in order to COUNTERACT Saturns harmful influence.......Since following this

advise I have experienced much better effects on both my health busines and

over all outlook

Indian Astrology is complicated to say the least however here three different

examples of how to us gems to resolve negative influences.........two are

spoken of a lot and the third not so well known as it is a higher form of

Astrological Science and takes a great deal of study to accomplish succesful

resolution of difficulty with this method

Basicly Counteraction takes the process to a higher more powerful level of

resolveing negative influences that are attacking a jiva in their lifetime

provide lots of attraction, and adding the 4 and 6 Mukhi would slow it down.

So what I am wondering is would wearing the 12 Mukhi by itself will have a

stronger effect, than a combination of 8 and 12 Mukhi. I may have been wrong,

but in my mind I have always considered 8 Mukhi to be an accelerator bead,

removing obstacles that stand in the way. I have no doubt that it would not

have any negative effect on the person wearing both together, but just

pondering which would bring faster effect. Would be grateful if you could

shed some light on this. Better still if we have had some experiences from

Thank you for yor reply............you have many good comments here that are

leading us to learn more and I thank you for this..........first of all you are

right regarding no negative side effects from the Holy Rudraksa except that they

may help give a wearer to much of a good thing sometimes

you mention you wear a 13 Mukhi with a 7 Mukhi so you must know what I am

talking about as this is an extremely powerful combination that ATTRACTS

EVERYTHING............There was a man who worked with Rudra Center at one of

the Exhibitions in Singapore in the early part of this century and he made the

mistake of recommending the 13 Mukhi as a single bead to business owners there

we really didnt know the ramifications of his recommendations until the business

owners started calling us and saying they were have too much attracted to them

and they had been overcome with deals and offers and business and relationships

that were of all kinds to the point that they wanted it to stop

we asked them what they were recommended and they said a single 13 Mukhi was

recommended to wear..........as business and relationship opportunities started

to pick up they were happy for the first month however then it got to be to much

and they were overwhelmed and loseing sleep and business was suffering because

too much was comeing too fast and they could not handle it all comfortably

13 Mukhi really has to worn with other beads and this was explained to

them......by wearing the 7 Mukhi Bead with the 13 Mukhi you are really

counteracting Saturn difficulties while wearing the 13 Mukhi Bead of ATTRACTION

so this combination is greating..........to much of anything can be overwhelming

and end up defeating the intent and purpose of the wearer and causeing the delay

in achievements and health difficulties seen in people who overwork themselves

the driveing force of the 13 Mukhi is steadly giveing them something to do to

the point of breakdown..........and you are right about pacification.......if

you wanted to pacify the power of the 13 Mukhi you would slow things down by

wearing 4 Mukhi and 6 Mukhi with it

For our Singapor clients who were haveing too much of a good time and needed

some help we recomended to pacify the situation by slowing it down as you put

it and recommended if they were going to wear the 13 Mukhi they needed to wear

the 4 Mukhi Lord Brahma Rudraksha that gives creative learning and knowledge in

combination with the 6 Mukhi Lord Kartikeya Rudraksha that saves from worldly

sorrow

adding these beads to the Mala supports the wearer with a higher level of

discrimination so they can sort out what is being presented to them 24 hours a

day and disregard what is not needed at that time in their life.......the added

attraction to this combination is that the 6 Muhki is a companion bead to 13

Mukhi and to 4 Mukhi and brings them all together in a harmonious

manner........there is great value in wearing the lower Mukhi Beads with the

higher Mukhi Beads specific to pacification and slowing things down a

little..........after our clients in Singapor adopted our suggestions

everything seemed to calm down for them so they could handle life at the speed

they chose

So here you have given us a great example of stringing a mala for counteraction

and this also led to an example of stringing for pacification

Rudra Center has the ability to string for both methods of wearing according to

a clients birth chart and it had really not been mentioned before so I thought

since it is a common debate in Astrological Circles it would be a good subject

to discuss on the group site so others could see how some of these designs work

Now for another area we are studying that relates to your second

paragraph..............you can wear 8 Mukhi Lord Ganesha Bead with any other

Bead and by chanting his Bij Mantras and other Mantras there is no harmful

effects that will come to anyone as Lord Ganesh Protects ALL..............now

the other part of this is that the Lord Ganesha Bead is also the RAHU Bead and

Lord Rahu has different Mantras and relationships a planetary level than Lord

Ganesha has on the level of the Devas

The 8 Mukhi Rudraksha Bead is one of those dual purpose Rudraksha Beads where

Lord Ganesha can be worked with or................... Lord Rahu can be worked

with after Lord Ganesha is recognized...........or they can be combined in Puja

and Sadhana to increase power of intent and purpose............All would depend

on clients birth chart and how they wish to proceed with wearing ......... by

way of pacification or by way of counteraction with pro active dircect action

in an accelerated manner

Your third paragraph asks what amplifies the effect of the 13 Mukhi and that

would to be wearing pairs of 13 Mukhi strung mouth part to mouth part as

described in the SriMadDeviBhagavat for Mantra Siddhi Stringing..........stated

that to string a mala for mantra siddhi they are to be strung mouth part to

mouth part and tail part to tail part.........meaning for maximum acceleration

to wear in pairs

Next level of acceleration beyond this would be to wear with pairs of Gauri

Shankar at back of neck where Kundalini flows dureing Meditation..........Garui

Shankar causes developement and expansion of Universe of wearers intent and

purpose and acts as an accelerator for the other beads worn..........depending

on the individual this kind of combination of 13 Mukhi pairs worn with Gauri

Shankar pairs needs to be worn by someone in business who is dealing nationally

or internationally so the energy has a way to release itself and not get built

up and caught in the Mala with no place to go

as an example when we first started Rudra Center America I wore a Mala similar

to the MahaMrityunjaya Mala where there were 16 pairs of Gauri Shankar on back

of neck and at bottom of mala there were 8 pairs of 13 Mukhi........when the

mala was doubled the 13 Mukhi lay on top of the Gauri Shankar at back of neck

where the Kundalini flows strongest while sitting in Samadhi in

Meditation............... and at the time I was doing Sanyama on the object of

creating and manifesting and connecting distribution business of Holy Items on

both sides of the world

Between the Gauri Shankar and 13 Mukhi pairs were strung in line on the Mala one

double Siddh Mala on one side of chest and the one double Siddh Mala on other

side of chest.............double Siddh Mala being same as regular Siddh Mala

except all beads strung in pairs

So the design was 32 of the Gauri Shankar laying on back of neck and then on

each side of chest were double siddh malas strung in line to meet with the

pairs of 13 Mukhi at bottom of mala........mala was designed to be doubled and

since I was doing international work in many different countries at the time

the energy this created was able to dissapate all over the world..........now

that we have our work cut out for us and are in a phase of business that takes

all our time ditributeing Holy Items I dont wear this many powerful beads

I dont know the answer to your fourth paragraph at this time as would need to

see birth chart from home office first........each persons chart is different

and optimal relationships when wearing only a few beads can be difficult to

determine because person is not playing with a full deck of cards so to

speak........is kind of a balanceing act...........is one of the main reasons

we recommend the Siddh Mala of 2 Mukhi to 12 Mukhi on red thread as the

majority of beads needed for balanced aceleration and pacification are all

represented and supporting one another

Similar to the Navgraha Pendants the Siddh Mala can be worn by anyone for first

time wearing..........with or without a birth chart reading.......my read on

your situation is that if you follow our instinct you will be right........many

wearers do wear 12 Mukhi with Eight Mukhi however they have the 7 Mukhi Pairs on

the malas also so that there is no concern about difficult relationships between

Lord Rahu and Sun because Saturn if friend to Lord Rahu and calms down any

unseen difficulties..........so by adding the 7 Mukhis you actually remove more

obstacles and you would accelerate faster

If we read enough of the older stories about the Devas you will find there are

many stories where a couple of them are always fighting with each other or at

odds with one another

then the lesson part of these stories is that they solve the difficulty or

conflict by all comeing together and praying to TriDeva seperately to their

IshtaDevata or Lord Siva or Lord Vishnu or Lord Brahma for a resolution or a

boon to resolve the difficulty

Life is like this and creates the need for all to come together to solve

difficluties whether it is countries around the world or citizens in local

communities or the Holy Rudraksha Beads on a Mala............The Holy Ramayana

teaches same lesson of all those of like mind comeing together to solve the

difficulties for the good of all concerned

One of my email folders got corrupted and the birthchart provided by Rudra

Center was in there. I have requested for another one. As I recall, the 13

Mukhi and 7 Mukhi was recommended. I am not so well versed is astrology though,

and probably couldn't tell a good placement from a bad one.

As I understand, rudrakshas unlike gems are supposed to be free of negative

influences. So even if Rahu is not well placed in my birth chart, wearing the

have not seen any harmful effects wearing any of the rudrakshas, only good

experiences.

What I am more interested in is what amplifies the effects, and what attenuates
