I am confused Richard. I think that the recommendation of stones should be

done on an individual basis. for example I am wearing both gomed and blue

sapphire and am having better results than when I was wearing red coral

(raja yoga karaka for cancer lagna) and yellow sapphire (ruler of my 9th

house). I think the problem here is that the planets of course change

dignity depending on their location with each other which is indicated in

most software produced charts where dignity is calculated with regard to the

planetary positions in the chart. I believe that these factors are the

reason why one can't use a system or codified method for recommending

gemstones. I have tested several astrologers and they all said to strengthen

the jupiter and mars in my case including yourself. Furthermore I know

exactly what happened when I strengthened my mars. I met a woman and we were

really close and almost had a love affair (mars is ruler of my 5th house

positioned in the 9th house of higher education and the sign of ninth house

is pisces which delineates places such as temples) guess what I met her at a

temple which is a 9th house natural Sagittarius like institution. She said

that she felt that energy coming from the stone but she said that this stone

is really no good for you. she said you already have enough of that energy.

I have realized that possibly the main flaw about gem recommendation maybe

that we have to account for the nakshatras of the charts and their rulers.

In many cases it is the position of the nakshatra ruler that will judge

which gemstones will be recommended. I think personal charts are the best

way to convey this. That is why I am willing to show my chart and have it

analyzed in such a fashion. great astrologers are great because they believe

in telling the truth as that is why a second house analysis is very

important. if the second house is afflicted the of course that person will

not tell the truth. but all matters must be taken into consideration for

example my second house is afflicted because of its placements of its ruler

in the 12th house but it has the ruler of the 5th house aspect of mars the

raja yoga karaka which by the way at age 28 (mars matures) after my great

spiritual experience I started thinking to myself I want to be a great man

so I will uphold to truth. So after age 28 I started believing that I

should tell the truth in my daily matters which I hold true to today. that

aspect of mars in the 9th house is aspecting my Saturn sun ketu arrangement

in the 12th house. well all I can say is that this gem recommendation is

more complicated than we all think. I want to get to the bottom of this for

personal reasons and also so that people aren't screwed along the way and

that they really do get to realize the greatness of vedic culture and its

upliftment that it can provide for the world.

 

so while I got tangent there lets get to my understanding of why nakshatras

are important. the nakshatra lord of my 9th house placed mars is Saturn

(uttarabhadrapada) and he is placed in the 12 th house like I said before

and the nakshatra lord of my 12th house placed Saturn is mars. so what do

you have here but a 9th house and 12th house nakshatra lord exchange which I

believe has impliciations on the chart as a possible raja yoga. however I am

not for sure on that one. but most importantly Saturn rules my 7th house

which is partnerships. so by strengthening Saturn with blue sapphire I am

also strengthening mars as Saturn is its nakshatra lord in my chart. so this

might be why that great astrologer I met who was the only person I even knew

to recommend these stones did. I mean like I said before every other

astrologer recommended benefics but he was the only astrologer who

recommended these wacky stones but I happen to be rahu mahadasha and Saturn

mahadasha is coming up in my lifetime as well. so there might be a dual

purpose here. but I think the main reasoning is such that he was

strengthening my mars indirectly through a very subtle manner. also the sun

placed in the 12th house in ardra nakshatra its nakshatra lord is rahu. and

unfortunately and painfully that rahu is placed in the 6th house

diametrically opposite. so he said that rahu has always caused obstacles to

my life and has caused a strained relationship with father. he suggested

that I wear rahu because I will always have opposition but what the rahu

stone does for me is make the opposition my friend. so you see because I

understand astrology that is why even negative stones can work for me

because I understand what they are trying to accomplish. ever since wearing

these stones I have noticed the opposition go away instead I am seeing them

trying to become my friend. I don't like this exactly because as Richard

points out this leads to shady underhanded dealings as rahu brings that

energy. what I do with it instead is that I keep the friendship with the

oppositions but instead of associating with them in all levels I use them

for the purpose they are intended to be used. but I will leave that up to

you how rahu is helping me in this case by wearing gomed and knowing that

rahu is in the 6th house of Sagittarius.

 

another important point because planets are all positioned in the nakshatras

they all carry that mythology of that particular nakshatra with them. we

must be careful what mythology we want to offer to our clients. some

nakshatras are great for the individual and others are not. so we must

consider what kind of play do we want to put our clients in. do we want them

to be hamlet and suffer a terrible fate at the end or do we want them to be

victorious like a great decorated general. I mean we are really playing with

the doors they will choose when they decide to make decisions. depending on

which gemstones the clients wear that will determine whether they choose

door #1, #2, or #3.
