Guest guest
represented by the hooded snake. It is this pictorial representation in Siva that Siva is the only form of the deity who can wear the ego round His neck, arms or have ego hover above him as ornaments and that he is not affected by it at all. It is said that one can not gain complete power over this last and most elusive of the spokes of karma until they have come to the shelter of Siva. It is only through the grace of Siva that one can control this most difficult of the five basic traits in human personality. Hope this helps.
