Guest guest
Majority of Indian families in Motherland and throughout the world keep murtis at home in puja room. Bcos most need the visual to help them associate and connect with various forms of deities. The astrologer you met sounds like one who is enlightened. When he said not to keep any idols but only keep Om, he has good point that is on subtle level, not easy for layman to understand. Using simple language to explain the complexity: What he means is that Om is everything in the universe. God and Om are one and the same. All gods/deities are Om. They are not separate from Om. (Om is abstract.) Pls type the words "The Meaning of Om" in search engine. Several links will appear that tell the subtle but deep meaning of Om. Anyway, other pals here may have differing views. Pls read all and analyze for yourself to arrive at the level you are comfortable with understanding. Rudra and Rudraksha are also Om. , chithra jay <chithrajk_2000 wrote: > > hi, > can any one pls tell me if idols can be kept at home and worshipped....recently i met an astrologer .....he was more a psychic as he dint require my details like date of brith ...etc....he was able to to tell abt a leakage tht had happened a few weeks back in the pooja room....all the more reason not to keep idols at home..so he says... he advised me to keep no idols and pics in teh puja room..but a simple OHM.....is there any logic behind this? > ohm namashivaya > chithra >
