Dear Richard,

It is said in the Shiva Purana that "Only by great merit can the opportunity to

wear Rudraksa be obtained," and "Those who wear at least one Rudraksa on their

heads, Tripundr on the forehead and repeat the five syllabled mantras shall be

honoured by you all." (Yama's directive to his attendants). Also, Shiva said,

"Those who wear Tripundra, the matted hair and the Rudraksa do not go to Yama's

abode."

You can find these quotes in the book, Rudraksa by Subas Rai.

RBSC : Re: Example of Puranas and Rudraksha

Dear brother DDji,Sadar pranam!!! You are right about murder, specially of

women, children and brahmanas. They will be killed here in this world. THENafter

leaving the body, they are dragged to hell by Yama dhutas andtortured

repeatedly, then they are reborn and murdered themselves. This is the full

circle for murder. But I found in Bhagavat Purana the story of Ajmila who was so

sinful, but somehow at the time of death he uttered the name "Narayana"

andmessengers from Vaikuntha came to stop the Yama dhutas. Then they hada

conversation about the soul of Ajmila (with Ajmila listening) thatended with

the Yama Dhutas defeated, and Ajmila coming back to life, and attaining Salokya

Mukti in Vaikuntha. So I would think that Lord Shiva is also so great, like

Vishnu, compared to Yamaraj. So perhaps Shiva could also "change things" if

bychance the dying sinner was wearing A Rudraksha of 3 faces. It seemsthat such

is the power of Rudraksha that it really is the EYE OF RUDRAand by wearing one,

Shiva is watching out. The proof is that one iswearing the Rudraksha... without

sanction of Shiva no one can get aRudraksha. These are just my thoughts, as you

see I'm a "personalist'.Hope you and family are well.Best rgds,Richard--- In
