Guest guest
In Siva Purana is stated Vidyesvara Samhita part 67 A Rudraksa with 3 faces always bestows means of enjoyment. As a result of its power all lores become firmly established In Padma Purana part 42 to 47 is stated in part The one with three mouths is Fire Himself...........The Sins earned in the past births of him on whomit remains is burnt as fire burns fuel...........The Sin a man has obtained by killing a woman or a Brahmana and also by killiing many.......all that perishes that moment only This is only one example.......showing the Siva Purana being written in a time of compassion and the Padma Purana being written in a time of conflict In addition this entry for the Three Mukhi in the Padma Purana is not correct for this time or any time for that matter.......In this age if a person kills another human being they are brought to justice and in a capital punishment state they themselves are either incarcerated for life or executed......there is no forgiveness for killing others that wearing a Holy Rudraksha will correct as this is not part of the role of the Holy Rudraksha If you study further you will find more conflicting infomation in the Puranas Wishing you and Family the Best Rudra Center America DharmaDev Arya In a message dated 2/2/2006 10:41:00 AM Pacific Standard Time, AumShiningLotus (AT) aol (DOT) com writes: Dear Barbara If you read my message you will see that I said all...........Holy Books....do not always agree on same topic.......I didnt mention Puranas specificly....and with a bit of study you will find that some of the Puranas do not agree with each other either so it really doesnt matter whether you agree or not............good luck with your studies..........as you continue to study you will also find that all the continenents were all one land mass before the continental shifts took place in ancient history that seperated the continents......of course none of this has anything to do with Rudraksha so will stop here......suggesting we get back to topics this discussion group has been created for Wishing you and Family the Best Rudra Center America DD In a message dated 2/2/2006 10:18:17 AM Pacific Standard Time, barbjs (AT) shaw (DOT) ca writes: Dear DharmaDev, I have not found that the Puranas do not agree with each other. I looked up the same passage at Skanda Purana, Vol. 67 of Ancient Indian Tradition and Mythology page 65, and I found that Bhaarata was very large at one time, measuring from south to north 9,000 yoganas, and from east to west 80,000 yoganas. Some think that a yogana is about 5 miles, and some, 9 miles. This gives the measurement of Bhaarata as 81,000 miles from south to north, and 720,000 miles from east to west. The diameter of our earth now is less than 8,000 miles, so everything was once much larger. This makes it difficult for me to determine exactly were Bhaarata is. I don't know what happened to the earth--whether we lost some of it. In addition the sun was much larger. It is only 1/17th of its original size. You can read this at Skanda, Vol. 67, page 81. 1/17th of the sun became the discus of Visnu, 1/17th became the trident of Shiva; 1/17th became the palanquin of Kubera; 1/17th became the staff of Yama; 1/17th became the shakti of Devasenapati (Kaarttikaya), 1/17 became the sun as we see it now, and the other parts of the original sun became the various weapons of other devas as wel as yaks.as and vidyaadharas. I do not have all of the Puranas, so I don't know why the earth is so much smaller now, and I don't know whether Bhaarata consists of only India as we know it now, or whether Bhaarata extends beyond that. I don't know where I'm living according to the Puranas, except that we call it Canada. Guest guest
Dear brother DDji, Sadar pranam!!! You are right about murder, specially of women, children and brahmanas. They will be killed here in this world. THEN after leaving the body, they are dragged to hell by Yama dhutas and tortured repeatedly, then they are reborn and murdered themselves. This is the full circle for murder. But I found in Bhagavat Purana the story of Ajmila who was so sinful, but somehow at the time of death he uttered the name "Narayana" and messengers from Vaikuntha came to stop the Yama dhutas. Then they had a conversation about the soul of Ajmila (with Ajmila listening) that ended with the Yama Dhutas defeated, and Ajmila coming back to life, and attaining Salokya Mukti in Vaikuntha. So I would think that Lord Shiva is also so great, like Vishnu, compared to Yamaraj. So perhaps Shiva could also "change things" if by chance the dying sinner was wearing A Rudraksha of 3 faces. It seems that such is the power of Rudraksha that it really is the EYE OF RUDRA and by wearing one, Shiva is watching out. The proof is that one is wearing the Rudraksha... without sanction of Shiva no one can get a Rudraksha. These are just my thoughts, as you see I'm a "personalist'. Hope you and family are well. Guest guest
What I have noticed is that there are so many unexplained stories in the many Holy Books that are either not explained or transliterated in a way that makes little sense that few can tell wether the stories and examples are true or even apply to this age.....in any case the rule of compassionate law of Lord Siva is a preventative measure to ensure that think first before they act.......that is most likely why the information on Rudraksha in the Siva Purana is more easily understood and followed Wishing you and Family the Best DD In a message dated 2/2/2006 7:22:56 PM Pacific Standard Time, rsbj66 writes: Dear brother DDji, Sadar pranam!!!
