Dear Vandana,

Thank you for your reply. Can you use ash from incense as vibhooti? Can one wear

the vertical line for Vishnu and also the three horizontal lines for Shiva

together? I have some candana, but I don't know whether I can wear that for

Shiva instead of vibhooti.

I believe that I read that commercial yogurt has some meat products added, so I

don't use it. I have made yogurt at home though. It is simple to make.

Saffron is very expensive here, and I only have it when crocuses are in bloom in

the garden. Then I use some of the saffron for worshipping the Shivalinga. Can I

make milk pudding without the saffron?

Do you know the proper recipe for Modakas for Ganesh. I just bought some cakes

for Him at the bakery, but most likely they had egg in them. I didn't ask

because I didn't want to know.

Thanks,

Barbara

Namaste BabarajiHari OM!Milk pudding - Boil rice in a pan and then boil milk

till it is thick. Add sugar to the milk and also saffron. Add the rice to the

milk. Curd is yogurt. You cannot use ashes from cigarettes as vibhuti.Vandana
