Guest guest
Dear DharmaDev Arya, Thank you for your reply. I am inclined to believe, since we are told to wear six rudraksha in/on each year, that these are to be worn on a string or wire looped over the ears. I don't know how to keep them on when sleeping, as they come off in my bed. Wearing beads looped around the ear is difficult when going out, because it is easy for them to fall off and be lost. Does it mean only six in/on each ear, or does that mean the minimum in each ear? I confess I don't know what slesmataka is, and I can only hope that I am not eating it. I have another question. The scriptures say to feed Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu with milk pudding. How does one make milk pudding without eggs? What is curd? Is it cottage cheese? Can one buy it, or must one make it? Another question with regards to vibhuti. I find that it is very expensive and comes in very small packages. I could use one package in a day or so, and it is about $2 a package, plus shipping . I can't afford $60 a month US plus shipping for vibhuti, and I sometimes use the ash left over from burning incense. Is there a source, or can the Rudra Center supply vibhuti in bulk ( a pound or two at a time) at a reasonable rate. I think I might be able to afford $10 a month for vibhuti; otherwise, I'd rather put the money in beads and other devotional items. Can people who smoke use the ash from cigarettes as vibhuti? I don't smoke, but I just wondered. Guest guest
Namaste Babaraji Hari OM! Milk pudding - Boil rice in a pan and then boil milk till it is thick. Add sugar to the milk and also saffron. Add the rice to the milk. Curd is yogurt. You cannot use ashes from cigarettes as vibhuti. Vandana , "Barbara J.
