Rudraksha Mala Questions

Namaste Jeff,

The tassle usually already contains a Meru bead if the Mala is

designed and made in the Traditional or Classical method according

to Holy Texts.

Traditionally, a tassle with Meru or Sumeru bead is worn at the back

of the neck.

If you want to use 7 mukhi as a pendant, then attach it to the

bottom middle part of the mala. But use your intuition to see

whether you feel more comfortable with it behind the neck or used as

a centre-bead pendant.

It makes no difference, which side the pearl or red coral is worn.

one pearl bead on one side and one red coral bead on the other side

strung in silver with silver caps.

To this I have added a 18 mm 7 mukhi Rudrasksha bead hanging off the

one 7 mm 5 mukhi bead on the tassel.

My questions are, which way should I wear this mala?

Do I wear the 7 mukhi on the tassel behind the neck, or down at the

bottom like a pendant?

Also does it matter on which side I should wear the pearl or red

coral?
