So sorry for being away for days on end.. Now back, trying to catch up and follow message threads DDji, very well said and absolutely agree with your excellent response to Mr. Chopra Deven in regards Indonesian beads. While Indonesian beads have their own merits and uses, there is no comparison with the levels of electromagnetic properties innate in Nepali rudraksha. This can be scientifically measured with the correct equipment. This may interest some friends here: I've got stacks of Aussie Quandongs which are the equivalent of rudraksha beads. They are used as bush fruit by (with utmost respect) Aborigines/Aboriginals in the Outback. They contain high levels of vitamin C and other nutrients. When the seed is washed, dried and examined, they look exactly like Indonesian beads. The dividing lines are not always clearly defined and hardly reach the top or bottom of each seed. In Singapore, Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak, Philippines and all of Borneo, they also have similar species akin the Indonesian variety. The same varieties extend to the Pacific Islands and Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. These rudraksha when examined and tested, are exactly similar to Indonesian beads with lesser electromagnetic properties. Just a bit of cheekiness, pls pardon me and don't be offended: If I were not a rudraksha sadhaka who believes in, and sticks to only the "Real Gauda Land thing", gee and Shiva Forbid, I would be picking Aussie Silver Quandongs for free in the millions and touting them to make a quick buck. All I need is a four wheel drive, a good driver who can read roadmaps without arguing and getting cranky...lol.. and many huge jute sacks to haul these seeds into town These are big seeds, also the size of Amla Fruit but...no thanks.. Frankly, this would be blasphemous in many aspects and goes against the grain of dharma and the Puranas. Hence I'd rather pay for high grade Gauda Land Rudraksha plus the Fedex charges to have the real thing sent to Australia where I'm probably based for another 10 years The above aside: Energy workers, Reiki masters, Chi Gong exponents, Dowsers, Advanced meditators, etc. are able to actually "feel" the vibrations of electromagnetic energies when they "tune in". For certain serious Yogis and Yoginis, these energies literally are "throbbing" or "thumping", depending on what practices they are performing at any given time. Having used, studied and researched rudrakshas since 9 years old after living in India around northern foothills, other parts of the Motherland, and then Nepal myself, can vouch for Nepali beads of the top 25% quality which Rudra Centre provides. Also stated in Sanskrit Texts that a rudraksha bead, the size of an Amla fruit (Indian Gooseberry) is the most potent. Also based on holy texts, re-affirming what DDji said time and again about rudraksha from Gauda Land being Lord Shiva's favorite. This is mentioned in several Puranas. Enough of my 'chin wag' for now, hope this helps clear further misconceptions.
