Guest guest
dear DD Ji, In your earlier mails on this group regarding indonesian rudraksha beads, you have mentioned that they do not possess the effectiveness as neither do they belong to gauda pradesha so they cannot give the benefits as compared to nepali rudraksha. My question is : then why at all rudra centre is selling malas consisting of indonesian rudraksha beads? I have seen malas of 2mm indonesian beads on their website and also I know that in SHIV Puran its mentioned that rudraksha beads of this much size are exceptionally effective. Also beads of this much size are not found in Nepal. So, if Shiv Puran is true then we can conclude that these beads have become extinct. Don't you think there is something which needs to be resolved. Why should at all we spend money to purchase these beads when they are not going to give us that much benefit. please give your views regarding this. Guest guest
Namaskar and thank you for your questions..........yes I agree that something in your understanding of what is written in the Shiva Purana needs to be clarified and resolved before I can directly answer your reasonable questions We have gone over this subject matter before however we can go over this again as there are many new members recently.........your mention of the smallest Indonesian Rudraksha as being the most powerful is a common misconception that was spread by the Indonesian Distributors years ago when they found they had a market for the smaller beads for Japa Mala and as tourist attractions so they spread the word that the smaller the bead the more powerful as this is what they had to sell so they made the best of their situation however this misconception is in direct contradiction to the Siva Purana that states the larger the bead the more the benefit..........as mentioned in one of my earlier messages the Indonesian Distributors were only trying to feed their families and they had an over abundance of the small punch mukhi beads to distribute for Jap Malas so they did what they had to do to keep their families with food and shelter In the US you can buy the Shiva Puran at www.NatarajBooks.com The Shiva Purana Vidyesvara Samhita Chapter 25 part 14 actually states A Rudraksha the size of an Emblic myrobalan or Dhaatriphala is mentioned as the most excellent................one of the size of the fruit of jujube tree or Badareephala is spoken of as middling In part 15 the Samhita states......... in part...............The meanest of Rudraaksha is of the size of a gram according to this excellent classification So according to the Shiva Purana the larger the Bead the more powerful the Bead and the largest Beads are found in the Himalayas part 16 states......... in part...............even the Rudraaksha the size of the jujube accords the benefit and heightens happiness and good fortune In addition to this modern scientists have listed that in the Eleocarpacae Family there are 6 classifications of genus of Rudraksha Beads each found at different habitats and of different medicinal properties.........these listings can be found in the Rudraksha Book by Dr Subas Rai in our Rudra Center Book Section.........all 6 genus give benefits at different levels of success and accomplishment The Holy Books state that each of the Holy Rudraksha will give much of the same benefits at different levels..........and that the most benefits are gained from the largest........largest sizes grow in Himalayas in what is left of the smallest remaining forest of Gauda Land and are rare beads................. and smaller sizes grow in Indonesia and are most abundant In addition it is also stated that if you string in precious metal and gems that benefits increase Before I can directly answer your question we also have to recognize that there are Japa Malas where the Beads are used as counters in Mantra Japa only and many times these are mostly the smaller Indonesian Beads...................... and there are the wearing Malas that are The Nepal Rudraksha Bead Kanthas used with Mantra also to Accomplish Self Empowerment and Fearless Life in a more powerful manner With all this background the answer to your question is that Rudra Center has always distributed the authentic smaller beads due to demand and has recently started to distribute the authentic larger Indonesian Beads because some people prefer these because they are more affordable.........any of the Rudraksha Beads of the 6 genus mentioned are still Rudraksha Beads and they still give benefits of the Holy Rudraksha..........its just that the smaller beads are not as powerful as the larger beads in any one genus if you compare bead size to bead size As we have seen in one recent message with html picture the smaller beads influence to give benefits can be improved if strung with gold and silver and gemstones.........this is also said to be true as a general statement in the Holy Books so a person can actually buy the smaller beads and mix them with precious metal caps and gems and increase their power to increase benefits to the wearer if that is what they have found to be successful To answer your last question.........a person buys what they can afford or what they have chosen to buy according to what they think they need..........that is why Rudra Center has a complete selection of Nepal and Indian and Indonesian Beads for our clients hope this helps to clarify why Rudra Center distributes the different beads of the Holy Rudraksha Wishing you and Family the Best Rudra Center America DharmaDev Arya In a message dated 11/28/2005 8:13:49 AM You have mentioned that: 'In part 15 the Samhita states......... in part...............The meanest of Rudraaksha is of the size of a gram according to this excellent classification.' Now if the above is true then where are they found. Are these the same 2mm rudraksha beads which are shown on Rudra centre's website. Actually I am looking for these rudraksha beads. Please tell me if these are the same as i have mentioned above then I will go for it. One more thing Sir: Is it true that rudraksha beads less than 9mm size are not found in Gauda land i.e India or Nepal regions. Sorry for troubling you again and again. Regards Deven Chopra.
