Namaste Dearest Sis Cyra,

Wonderful to see you around!! Thanks and bless you for your kind and

generous words. Been some time since I last saw your messages --

Missed you lots too!

Regarding One mukhis:

A) One Mukhi *RounD* beads are extinct in modern times. Although

*Round shape* is mentioned in ancient Sanskrit holy tomes, the Round

Shape of one mukhi rudraksha **Truly Does Not Exist Today and

Remains a Myth*. They are extinct like dinosaurs (so to speak :))

It is doubtful that they will come into existence during Kali Yuga.

B) Many fakes of RounD one mukhis are touted around by unscrupulous

suppliers who snare a huge slice of the unsuspecting, innocent and

inexperienced market. Its sad that when a few of these duped

customers come forward to have their so-called round one mukhi

rudraksha authenticated, it had been found that these fake specimens

were made from various materials like plastic resin or cork and when

boiled, these fakes come apart. Sometimes inside the fakes, edible

glue can be found.

c) Please note that genuine rudraksha, when boiled from 2 hours to

6 hours or more, do not come apart in pieces.

D) There is only one type of *Genuine* One Mukhi Rudraksha. This

is the *Half-Moon Shaped bead* that has only one defining line

across the top. While Mother Nature has not bestowed the earth with

round beads, we are fortunate to have the Half-Moon One Mukhi

Rudraksha in its place.

E) Please don't mind me and please don't laugh :)) Once long ago,

I daydreamt a lot about the round-shaped one mukhi and kept

wondering why it doesn't exist in modern times. One day after

getting some thick silver wire from Rudra Centre, an idea occurred

to put together 2 almost identical Half Moon shaped beads to form a

round one, then carefully wound them together with silver wire to

hold the 2 in place. Got to say, this is the closest silly me could

get to a round one mukhi rudraksha :)

In reality, no 2 rudraksha beads are exactly alike in shape, groove,

feel, look, characteristics and other distintive features. No

matter how similar two beads may come across, if one were to look

carefully and with a magnifying glass, we can see the difference.

Btw, not that I would dare suggest this method for high mukhis or

costly beads:

But one sure way of botanical testing for genuine rudraksha is to

cut open a bead transversally. Inside a one mukhi, there is only

one seed. Two mukhi has 2 seeds, three mukhi contains 3 seeds, four

mukhi has 4 seeds, etc. Its like Mother Nature has ensured that

rudraksha compartments inside each respective mukhi bead, are like 1

room, 2 rooms, 3 rooms, 4 rooms, 5 roomed apartments (this is only

figuratively speaking), etc.

Thus, the Half Moon Shaped One Mukhi Rudraksha beads on the "Light

of God Mala" are genuine. I was admiring the mala pic so much becos

all 9 beads look amazingly harmonizing, almost and quite similar in

shade, tone, uniformity and are of superb quality. While I was

surfing around, the mala pic just "jumped" at me so I thought to

share it here

Bountiful blessings & much love

Om Namah Shivaya
