Dear Friends

DharmaDev Arya writing from the home office email address

There was a question that got knocked off the moderators list for

some unknown reason so thought I would try and cover it here

A member of this group asked about wearing Rudraksha at time of

eating certain foods......we have covered this before however we can

do it again

garlic and onion and carrot and hot soups were questioned from a book

that was not identified

Siva Purana Vidyesvara Samhita part 43 states...A devotee of Shiva

shall refrain from eating meat, garlic, onion, red garlic, potherb.

slesmataka, pig of rubbish and liquors

There is no mention of carrots and hot soups

Have no idea why these vegetables are omitted from the diet........I

do know that vedic priests omit garlic from diet at particular times

of the year however from a health standpoint garlic and onions are

some of the most important herbs a human body can consume so your

guess is as good as anyone elses why the author of the Shiva Purana

would print this

Some things printed in the Holy Books........that were written by a

human.........simply dont apply...........today if you eat enough

Ghee or purifed butter it will clog your arteries and you can die

young

An example found in the SriMadDeviBhagavat states that wearing a 3

Mukhi Rudraksha removes the sin of woman killing...........this is

totally wrong and is still printed in a Holy Book

Padma Purana gets even worse and that is why we stay with the Shiva

Purana as is shows the compassionate side of Lord Shiva Lord Rudra

In Padma Purana it states if you wear 7 Mukhi Rudraksha Lord of the

Serpents Siva is also very much pleased. Due to his being pleased all

sins due to brahmanicide, drinking liquor, stealing etc and violating

ones teacher wife perish day by day. He would certainly obtain

godlike pleasures in the three worlds

This is total nonsense and wrong infomation and the author of the

Padma Purana is actually lying to the public in this

instance.......there is no Rudraksha wearing that will forgive the

offensive and unacceptable behaviour of woman killing or killing of

Brahmans

The reason you see different rules and regulations about wearing the

Holy Rudraksha is that different Holy Books were written at different

times in the History of India........so Rudra Center stays with the

first book concerning the Tears of Lord Siva and that is the Shiva

Purana........if we stay with this one book we have the original

authors impressions when he wrote the general rules to follow

One woman wrote to me once and said she had heard that it was not

allowed to walk under laundry hanging from tall buildings while

wearing the Rudraksha..........this one totally stopped my thinking

as it took me by surprise in a way that made me laugh so much I

almost fell out of chair.............told her that when they wrote

the rules of wearing there were no tall buildings where they hung

laundry from so this must be some kind of mistake

hope this helps explain more about what is written regarding rules of

wearing and what is acceptable in this age

If you want to wear Rudraksha and eat carrots and hot soups it is

really not a problem.......is only another story from someone who

doesnt know what they are talking about or are repeating something

they heard from someone else............actually Sri Jabala who wrote

the RudrakshaJabaloPanishad would have a really good time with

someone saying this about carrots and hot soups......am thinking he

would have a good time laughing happily so thanks for your message on

this

Wishing you and Family the Best
