Shaligrams are found in Mukti chhetra and Damodar Kunda (north-west of Nepal).

The shaligram is the most sacred stone worshipped by vaishnavas to worship

Vishnu in an abstract form (i.e., God without form) as a Shaligram. The marks

made by an insect called "Vajrakitta" gives the Shaligrama a special

significance, with the pattern often representing that of Sudarshan Chakra (the

Discus of Lord Vishnu). Shaligrams come in different colours but the black,

yellow and blue varities are considered most sacred. Shaligrams of different

shapes are often associated with the different incarnations of Lord Vishnu (such

as Narasimha, Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Vamana Avataras and so on).

This webpage is for the devotees aspiring to obtain the rare Shaligram Shilas.

We have been inspired by the devotees of Hare Krishna and others all over the

world to pass on these auspicious Shaligrams to the devotees so that these

Shilas can find the place at their puja altar. We have a large collection of

rare Shaligrams which we have collected over many years. After a deep study we

have gained immense knowledge and experience to name the Shaligram and recommend

them to the devotees according to the ancient scriptures so that devotees can

Purana there can never be a price put on any Shaligram as there is not enough

gold, jewels or any precious thing exist in the world to equal even a single

Shaligram. We accept a small donation to cover the cost of the wages, lodging,

boarding and potter / transportation charges paid to the poor villagers who

collect and bring them to us. These villagers risk

their life in search of rare Shaligrams under very difficult and trying

climatic conditions that exist in and around Kali Gandaki river at Muktinath

(Himalayas Nepal) to bring these auspicious Shaligrams to all of us.

As per Skanda Purana, Padma Purana and other epics, the worshipper of Shree

Shaligram knows no fear and is blessed to attain all desirable things, worldly

comforts, good wife, good sons, good health, immense wealth, peaceful

environment prevails in his surroundings and he gets immense protection

against all evil forces. His all anxieties, mental tension goes off and all

ambitions are fulfilled Even the water that has just touched the Shaligram

Shila becomes “Amrit” and by drinking it "man" is relived of all diseases.

Worshipping of Shaligram helps in meditation and attainment of spiritual

liberation.

The devotees are hereby cautioned that spurious, fake, artificially carved black

stones are very much available in the market and people are selling them at a

very cheap price. Devotees are advised that they should approach a genuine

As per Brhan Naradiya Purana, in any place, if Lord Keshava is situated there in

the Form of Shalagram Shila, there neither demons, not ghosts, nor devils, can

create any obstacles to that person or place. Any place where Shaligram Shila is

situated can be turned into a place of pilgrimage and a place for performing

austerities because the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Madhusudana (killer of

the Madhu demon), personally resides there.

As per Padma Purana, those people who are the lowest of mankind and who are

controlled by lust, anger and greed can be elevated to the abode of Lord Hari by

worshiping Shalagram Shila.

PUJAYITVA SILA CAKRA LABHANTE SASVATAM PADAM

As per Skanda Purana worship of Salagram Sila can be done by women, sudras,

brahmanas, kshatriyas , and by one and all and they can achieve the eternal

abode of Lord Krishna perfectly.

TYPES OF SHALIGRAM

Matsya - Worshiping this auspicious Shaligram brings immense wealth and worldy

comforts. It bestows the worshipper with peaceful environment, austerity and

philanthropy.

Kurma - The worshipper of this Shaligram gets immense PERSEVERANCE, strong will

power, patience, wealth and happiness in his life. The kurma Shaligram also work

as a shield against all evil forces.

Varaha - The worshipper of this Shaligram gets immense protection and

occult/black magic does not work on him.

Narsimha- The opponent and the enemies of the worshipper vanishes and are sent

to hell. No black magic or any type of occult works on him. He becomes fearless

If the highest charity is to give a Shalagram Shila to a Hari Bhakta,

then what is to be said about giving to a non-devotee? I had a

billionaire Bank President in Bangkok ask me for a Shalagram, but I

told him the requirements and he changed his mind.

Dear Richardji,

Can you please elaborate more on the requirement to owning and taking care of a

genuine shalagramshila. But not to much as I understood that this group mainly

discusses about the Holy Rudraksha.
