Guest guest
Hello, Once one begins to wear Rudrakshas, do they find that they must wear them, or suffer accordingly? I read an old post saying that when someone stopped wearing his Rudrakshas all manner of unpleasant things happened, such as a car accident, etc. Then today I got a letter from a friend, who just got his Rudrakshas a few weeks ago. He feels clearer and more grounded now. But he went out without them one day. He felt spacey and disconnected, and nearly rear-ended a truck due to his lack of focus. Is this a coincidence, or does he have a dependancy on his Rudrakshas now? Most grateful for insights. Blessings... Cheyenne
Guest guest
I have worn them off and on for years, and don't find any dependency. Nor have any of my friends. After about 40 days, your energies and those of the beads are combined, anyway. You may wear them, when you like, and put them on your altar. when you don't want to wear them. Right this minute, Lord Ganesha, on my altar, is wearing mine. :-) I think your friends are letting their imaginations get away from them. Guest guest
Dear Kari and Other Respected Members I had a similar doubt, since I came to know about Rudrakshas recently I have different malas with different combinations and have one pendent of 2, 8, 9, 11 each, now I am confused what to wear and what no to wear, I wear a regular mala of small 5 beads with a big 7, 4, 6, and 5 in them and also want to wear separate 11 or 9 or 8 as required. based on your response, my question is If I wear a 9 mukhi pendent in red string for a few days can I keep it aside for a few days and wear a 11 mukhi in a red thread, by changeing my rudraksha constantly will I lose the power of them. Please eloborate. Thanks, Divakar. --- Kari Sprowl <karisprowl wrote: > I have worn them off and on for years, and don't > find any dependency. Guest guest
Dear Kari, Thank you for your thoughts on this. I think you may be right in some instances. My question arises from what I have experienced in years of advanced meditation, rather than the use of Rudrakshas. My guru told us that once we began advanced meditation techniques, we MUST continue them, or suffer. His reasoning was that in allowing the 'release valve' to remain open, we would move gently forward. The momentum of stress-release would have a place to go, rather than being stopped and then building up in activity. I think he had something there, because those I knew who quit their meditations did seem to have more difficulties. Since Rudrakshas (to me) have seemed to do a similar thing as meditation, I would assume it is best to keep them on--if one normally wears them constantly. But perhaps if one did not wear them regularly there would not be such a fast momentum of stress- release, hence removing them occasionally would not cause any problem. DD, do you have any thoughts on this? I always find your insights helpful. Namaste.......
