Dear Respected Richard Ji

Namaskar Mitra.........maybe I can help with this a little also........In

Siva Purana Vidyesvara Samhita chapter 25 part 8 it states

In order to bless the devotees they were given to the four varnas devoted to

worship of Visnu

Is also said somewhere that to Love Lord Siva is to be Loveing Lord Vishnu

and to be Loveing Lord Vishnu is to be same a Loveing Lord Siva

hope this helps a little as in the first part of the Siva Purana it says Lord

Siva gave the Holy Rudraksha to the devotees of Visnu..........and yet they

are Lord Siva oriented
