Guest guest
Namaskar Manoj, Warm welcome to you!! Very nice to see you introducing yourself. Rudraksha beads are like "living and breathing" deities since each bead represents a Devi or Deva and all are manifestations of the one supreme God/dess. How fast they become dry, depends on where you live, the temperatures and conditions, whether humidity levels are high, etc. and also your own body chemistry. You mentioned washing rudraksha with water everyday but there is no mention of oiling the holy beads after they are dry. They must be oiled regularly in order to maintain good condition and preservation through generations. Rudrakshas find their own homes and will only arrive at the readiness of "God's Time" or "Lord Shiva's Time". We cannot choose when they should arrive or be delayed, etc. It is all God's Will. The day it arrives is always considered the "Right Day" or "Right Time" in God's Eyes. Even though your siddha malas was received one day after your relative's mahasamadhi in Kerala, there shouldn't be any worry on your part regarding the timing. God was ready to receive your relative and take him "home". God decided you were ready to receive the siddha mala one day after. Nothing in samsara is by coincidence. Everything is related or inter-related somehow. The answer will gradually appear, or become apparent when you cease trying to find it. Its ok to begin wearing the siddha mala on a Monday, being Lord Shiva's Day, although it was 2 days after your relative's mahasamadhi, and without disrespect to your relative and his family members. There is no need to soak the beads in mild soapy water overnight. Just soak them for half an hour, use a soft toothbrush for cleaning off the grit or grime and leave them to dry naturally at room temperature. When the holy beads are thoroughly dry, then apply oil to them, again using a soft toothbrush (a dry one, not a wet one). Whether you decide to strictly observe the customary 16 day shrath period (when you can't go to temples and do poojas) or not, is entirely your personal decision. Please discern for yourself what is right to do on which day. Do not worry unnecessarily about every exact detail. Leave it all at the feet of God and let Him decide, if you can't see which direction to go. Rudrakshas are already "Sacred". Whether further poojas or religious sanctification are required, is very much a personal choice or preference. Either follow your intuition or listen to your UpaGuru, pr consult your family priest. In the case of Smarta Hindus, they do not necessarily adhere to certain customs. If you are from a tantric lineage or a Natha or a dedicant in Aghora lineage, there are no boundaries; the sky is limitless, choices are limitless and God/dess is infinite. Dry beads can become brittle, depending on the quality of the beads when they first arrived in your hands and from which vendor you got them. There are many grades of quality in rudraksha. Without seeing your beads, it is difficult for any of us to really comment on whether they will deterioriate in a dry state or how soon they will regain lustre. As for "power", this also depends on the quality of the beads themselves and how much electromagnetic and other innate properties each individual bead contains. A person who is genuinely unknowing or innocent of these things as you've described, is automatically "Absolved" by the Grace of Lord Shiva who gave mankind the Holy Rudraksha. Stop worrying too much Manoj. When the mind stops the "worrying chattering to itself", you will see things better and fear...... less ) With good wishes, Om Namah Shivaya Simone , Manoj Nair <manojmn10> wrote: > Namaskar to all, > My self manoj nair extending a warm namaskar to all the members of the rudraksha bead society. Guest guest
Namskar Simone Thank you very much for your valuable inputs. The reason why i was so worried was because i have been through unbearable pain and distress continuously for the past 2 and half years, but finally due to the divine blessings of the lord i started wearing the ultimate prasad of lord shiva the HOLY RUDRAKSHA.And im extremely delighted to say that these wonder beads have brought about 360 degree change in my thinking coz of which ive been able to survive all dreaded turbulence in my life with confidence and not loosing my cool.Hence im obsessed with my mahaprasad the holy rudraksha and that's why these many doubts. But after your divine reply im relaxed as im blessed to be a part of a group where i can discuss freely about the holy rudraksha and also interact with people who are like minded and believe in the blessings of the lord. MAY THERE BE PEACE AND HAPPINESS FOR ALL. OM NAMO NAMAH SHIVAYA. Regards Manoj Nair Simone <syzenith wrote: Namaskar Manoj, Warm welcome to you!! Very nice to see you introducing yourself.
