Guest guest
Namaste. I realize it's been a little while since this question, "Who is the Supreme Diety?", was asked to the forum, but last night during meditation it came to me to respond. My favorite answer to this questions lies in the book, Tripura Rahahsya; I believe you will find it satisfies. My Teacher gave me a copy of my (and his) favorite translation of this, Tripura Rahasya : The Secret of the Supreme Goddess (Spiritual Classics) by Swami Sri Ramanananda Saraswathi (Translator), which is available inexpensively in paperback from Amazon.com. Another fine translation is: Sakti Sadhana: Steps to Samadhi : A Translation of the Tripura Rahasya by Pandit Rajmani Tigunait Ph.D., which is perhaps more poetic. There is also a third translation available, subtitled "The Mystery Beyond the Trinity", which is the favorite of my friend Vishvananda Ishaya, whose father did such a masterful job of translating the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali ("Enlightenment" by MSI, or Maharishi Sadasiva Isham), who prefers its precision and accuracy. I guess I prefer a little poetry with my accuracy. Anyway, you are looking for chapter 20, in which a great sage, or rishi, is asked that very question. If you are on a spiritual path you would not be sorry to read this fine book. All three translations are available from Amazon.com.
