Guest guest
Hello, I am new to this group and am learning much from the postings. About 20 years ago I bought my husband a mala of small rudrakshas from a reputable source. I was told that smaller beads were better. Yet when I see the beautiful power malas on the Rudra site they all have larger beads. I would like to know which size of bead has the most potential for its intended purpose. Many thanks. Guest guest
I think that it's primarily the QUALITY of the bead, rather than the size. The smaller beads are rarer. However, I have observed in my own use that the size doesn't seem to impact the energies. I weer the tiny beads, and the jumbo ones, as feels right at the time. The best way, in my opinion, is to choose your beads instinctively. Your body and soul will know which beads you need. Guest guest
Dear Friend Namaskar and thanks for your posting.........The Siva Purana and SriMadDeviBhagavat and Padma Purana and RudrakshaJabalaPanishad all state the larger the Bead to Better........In the Shiva Purana it is stated the favourites of Lord Siva are from Gauda Land that is an are from Orissa in the South to Nothern Bengal North of the Gangetic Plain.....now in this age the Holy Rudraksha Forest has receded to the Arun Valley of the Himalayas where Nepalese Collector Families harvest the larger Beads that grow in the enviornment of the Himalayas in the area of Mount Everest The smaller beads are said to be the least however they still have the power of the Rudraksha inherent in their Being........... There are smaller Nepal bead and the small Indonesian Beads........... years ago the Indonesians made a market of the Japa Malas that are used as counters and the information found in the Holy Books of India was turned around by the Indonesians.........Indonesians said smaller the bead the better and this is incorrect.........today we still have people asking for 4mm beads that are about the size of the gram because they are most powerful.........simply isnt true The larger collecter size and higher qualtity heavy collector Beads are the most powerful for wearing specific to Accomplishent Self Empowerment and Fearless Life on the Path to Enlightenment and Freedom The smaller Indonesian Beads are used as counters when doing Japa and also have their value however the value is less than the larger Himalaya Beads hope this helps Thanks DD In a message dated 6/4/2005 5:25:21 PM Pacific Standard Time, spiritwalk99 writes: > > > Hello, I am new to this group and am learning much from the > postings. Guest guest
If I may add a few words to it....... According to the Shiva Purana, the best and most powerful beads are of the largest size and well defined contours and faces. Moreover the bead should be whole and free from any damage to it. However the same explanation carries on to say that even the smallest of the beads are extremely powerful in their influence. Also the larger the number of faces the bigger, generally, the bead would have to be for the faces to be well defined. If this is someone new wearing the beads, I would suggest to start with the smaller ones. Firstly because they are easier to be worn in almost all social circumstances and secondly the more potent ones and bigger beads may be over-bearing to someone who is starting off their journey in this wonderful love of the holy beads. Hope this helps. Kind regards Anand [] On Behalf Of Kari Sprowl 05 June 2005 17:34 Re: RBSC : Size of rudrakshas I think that it's primarily the QUALITY of the bead, rather than the size.
